Suggestions you wished someone gave you when you’re starting as ML Engineer

Hello Everyone, I’m starting new position as ML Engineer, mostly I’ll be working on GenAi integrated solutions and have to work on complete end to end architecture. is there any suggestions for me, is there something you wished someone would’ve told you/ guided you when you were starting, and mistakes to avoid, approaches or paths that worked for you, and resources (books, blogs, videos) which helped you a lot.

I am an ML enthusiast and have been learning Reinforcement Learning and other Algorithms to shift my profile to ML engineer. But as soon as I started applying for jobs, every job is looking for people who have experience in GENAI, LLMs, etc. So I want to know, how can I become one?

Can anyone help me how should i prepare for data Engineering and AI/ML roles

My designations have changed based on the industry requirements and work too changed based on that. I have an interview in a week and wanted to know if there any tips you would like to give. I have asked the recruiter what kid of question will be asked and the response was: the questions will be around building, deploying and scaling efficient ml models into production.

I recently started working as a Data Analyst after my undergraduate in Engineering. My work concerns mostly building, testing and tracking ML models for Finance Industry (usually classic ML and not Deep Learning). I wanted to hear from people who have been in this field for some time. How does one grow themselves in this field of work. Had a few specific questions but would love to hear if you have anything more to tell. 1. Where are the high paying and interesting jobs? Big Banks, Software MNCs, or Startups? Which of these should I target to reach to get interesting (preferably advanced ML) work and pay? 2. Is learning new concepts and building personal projects a good way to learn and demonstrate my abilities or is there a better way to develop and present my skills? 3. Is an MS from foreign universities extremely important for good growth in career? 4. Should I try switching to SDE role? (I don't have big preference for either SDE or ML, I just happened to land a ML job)
