Early career - switch when you think growth has plateaued / don't have a mentor
Mid career - switch when you are not being compensated fairly / looking for a career rejig (new sector/role) with disproportionate upside
Senior career - switch when you feel like the current role doesn't allow you to cultivate high agency
Have switched because of the former 2 reasons 3x so far over a tenure of 10 yrs. Has been rewarding financially, and a step change in learning. Now seeking stability till I reach a senior enough role.
