TIL: Gas App was shut down by Discord in November. A few thoughts below 👇

Hey Folks! I was planning on launching a new age social media application. What are some good strategies I can apply to growth hack that shiz. Im planning paying some Twitter/LinkedIn/Instagram influencers and asking some of my buddies who have a good following to post screenshots of the app. To make it look organic, they’ll post some topic to rile up the audience and get that engagement. Also we are planning to not mention the app name in the tweet but always have it in the replies so it looks organic and is if our app is already the talk of the town Does anyone have any suggestions? Does this sound like a good plan. I paid a freelance growth consultant a lot of money for this plan. How does it sound? Anyone has any thoughts? Folks?

Saw this on Twitter today, found this interesting and loved the idea. The app is named - Jamm. A members-only social network that helps you meet all kinds of people over fun activities IRL. Tagline - ‘Never Have Another Boring Week’. The idea behind this as per founder (Able Joseph) is to improve the social health/life of its members. The more like-minded the community, the nicer its interactions will be. Here’s how it works. - Apply for membership - Once accepted, pick an activity (board games, bike rides, etc.) and post a Jamm - Receive requests from other members who are interested to be a part of your Jamm - Curate the people you wish to bring together - Coordinate with the Jammers on group chat - Meet them IRL and have a good time Interesting to see how they’ll be solving security challenges associated with meeting people. Also, I guess this could also turn out to be a hookup app. What you guys think? Bengaluru peeps here - Have you used this yet?

Another startup that could have been something had it not been for the bull market and Tiger investing unnecessarily. Over $66Mn raised, and now it's over.

Why people have to resort to such cheap tactics? 🥲

Pick areas such as dating apps, onlyfans etc and start earning 💸💸 People don't think twice in spending money on such products, especially when in those years when your hormones are kicking off.

So finally, someone spoke about this fraudulent startup AstroTalk. How they operate and how they take advantage of gullible people, is completely explained in the video. These kinds of startups need to be busted on LinkedIn and other social media platforms so that no one calls prey for such cheap tactics. This is just another BYJUs in the making. The cofounder is an IIT IIM grad. Shows how greed can even pollute the minds of even highly educated people. Really don't understand how the VCs can be so fucking dumb, funding them with 165 Crores!! Shocking but it isn't surprising since the Indian Startup ecosystem is filled with such scam artists.

Today raised $22m series B. No revenue. Video streaming app with Less than 1m daily users in india is valued over $100m... So every random person in india is worth over $100? Lol. Competition, Chingari, Rooter, both in trouble. Eloelo has worse engagement than both (I looked on data.ai) Definitely faking numbers to investors, why else would anyone invest.
