To me, it’s all about access. 
Access to authentic ideas.

The best search result you get on Google is high SEO but low authenticity. On LinkedIn, there are so many people but everyone is shilling a course or 1:1 resume reviews. 

Mostly it has become a place which started as vanity signalling 

Like
( I have started a new role…, I have been accepted at …, I have received offers from F, A, N and G and I’m joining G.)  

And now people pushing mindless content with “Agree?” or “Comment Interested”.

Somehow, everyone is truly inauthentic to please a wider audience and say the exact same generic gyaan to maximise engagement.

For now, Grapevine is where people are genuinely themselves and I get to hear interesting things that you get to hear near the coffee machine.

Kinda feels like we’re all a big community where we all contribute and learn new things about the professional landscape around us.

I have received two offers Deloitte (USI) 16.5 CTC Hyderabad Thoughtworks 15 CTC pune
Location wise I am more comfortable with pune However I heard Thoughtworks is not doing
as great as it earlier was? Is it true can anyone working there confirm?
Deloitte is offering one time relocation
assistance and bonuses and all as well. Whereas
Thoughtworks doesn't.
Please suggest I am really confused

It’s audio-based, so you can just talk out your thoughts on stuff and somehow still stay anonymous, which is pretty cool. There are these fun prompts like:

- “What’s the best way to deal with ‘that’ coworker who always overshares?”
- “What do you really want to say when your boss asks you ‘how’s everything going’?”

Came across this new app, Spilll, for corporate gossips!

I got an update from this app I use for investing in startups. They have launched a mutual fund comparison feature which lets you compare your mutual fund performance with key insights with your friends in a very easy consumable format. 

Shows you XIRR, funds invested, portfolio diversity
Doesn’t show actual amount invested by both! 

Very cool feature! I’m very surprised because I haven’t see this in any mainstream fintech apps.

The amount of random searches I have done 🫣 Thank god we can delete browsing history there 😂 PG 13 but still

What are the coolest Grapevine features?

I get a weekly digest of employee reviews for my company, and very often I've observed that the negative ones are deleted(clicking on the 'read more' section gets me to an error page).

Apart from this, slice is actively putting up fake one-line reviews to save their sinking reputation.

Highly unethical on part of slice. I wonder how Glassdoor is even allowing this.
