To all the founders/builders out there who have not yet been successful!
Amazon delivery business is still to date mostly loss making, majority of their profit comes from aws
This isn't true. 2022 was an anomaly, but Amazon does make positive cashflows from their marketplace business. They have for many years now. North America makes good amounts of profit (and is the key contributor), they do make a small loss in International though (driven by growth and market share struggle)
I meant that it is loss making is not true. But you're right, majority of profit does come AWS, that's true
But it was the main business that allowed reinvestments in R&D and AWS anyway

Well tbh if the retailers moving online had been a bit more entrepreneurial back in the day then Amazon would have probably died.
An existing company barely ever succeeds with being entrepreneurial in a new category. They either acquire or fail.

If your potential market is huge, no one, not you, not vc can predict how big or small you would become. Might become huge, might fizzle out for nothing. There is no one person competent enough to predict the economy and future of a business. The only way to find out is to try.
