Underpaid over enthusiastic intern at a pre seed startup

I am Interning at a very early stage startup in the Growth Team. My stipend is ₹15,000 p/m and the work is decent - community mgmt, content, product gamification & market research. It’s a pre-seed startup so sometimes I feel lack of resources are putting a cap on my abilities to execute. Though, the founder has assured that we’re close to raising pre seed. I am pretty good friends with the Founder and I’ve met him a few times. Now, coming to the main part of problem - I casually applied for an Internship in a early stage startup but the team is sorted. They have funds and their founding team is super experienced. Stipend offered is 2x of what I’m getting. I was wondering If I should opt for that? Or, keep my head down and work for the same startup, ignoring the money aspect? Pls lmk folks.

Hey everyone, I've been on the hunt for a product design internship for the past 1 month. I came across a lot of internships, but they were willing to take me only at zero cost. What would you do in this scenario? What other ways can I explore to find an internship ( I'm a junior doing my UG). THANKS :)

I’m a final year student based out of India, and am currently doing the last month of my internship at a SF based startup. As the only DevOps engineer, and being quite skilled at at (at least according to myto YoE), I was getting paid around 2 LPA per month as a part time intern for the past 6 months. I recently got another 3 month internship offer from a foreign company, and I’m taking it since I don’t want to get stuck at remote job in India, and explore some abroad companies as well before I settle. Pay there is also quite good, but I don’t wish to take FTE there as I have to live in India only (family reasons, rural background, younger siblings and their study, etc.) Now when I finally start my job hunt in the final days of my winter internship, what should be the pay I expect from Indian / Remote companies? Considering I was getting paid a fair amount as mentioned above even in a part time role. Or was I overpaid and I should keep my expectations low or equal to it in a Full Time Role?

I had my summer internship offer for sde intern from Simpl. Today they sent a mail saying they are converting our internship to one with no stipend due to internal restructuring decisions. This is extremely heartbreaking and devastating at this end moment when the internship cycle has ended for almost all companies. I had stopped applying to companies after I got my simpl offer. I request you to empathise with my situation if you know any internship openings.

Out of curiosity, I asked the salary in DM and the salary was more than what I was earning. So this puts me in a self degrading situation and hence I want to know the salary of fellow 2017 MBA grads. Hi! I just finished my second year at a tier-1 college. I’ve been looking for internships to do this summer, and a startup offered me a backend role of 10k pm stipend that required 8 hours a day commitment. I’d have to travel to their 2-3 times a week to their office that’s 7-8 kms away. I know a decent amount of web dev, have built a MERN clone of Reddit, and I’m pretty good at algorithms. Upon asking one of my mentors about this, he that the guy who’s offering me this role is simply ripping me off. I just wanted a second opinion on this. Am I being underpaid?

Have worked in edtech, crypto and fintech, been through layoff (as an intern 😀), got multiple offers within 10 days of being laid off, got the PPO denied from one while got the PPO from the other. Have seen founders with half a billion of funding boast about their culture and seen them layoff 120 folks the very next month. Yes, its nothing compared to what the very well experienced folks on this platform have seen and experienced and gone through, but it's honest work :) So ask me anything 😀

after seeing posts on here yall wont proll believe me but who cares im 18, a highschool dropout who’s been working at startups since 2022 started out in crypto infra companies as a backend dev and now building in ai/crypto. started out as an intern during 11th/12th grade at an agency then went on to work at crypto infra for ~year then took a break to finish highschool, then working at another us based startup now this is how my comp progressed 15$ / hr at first agency job ( did like 20-30 hrs a week since had school going on asw ) promoted to 20$ / hr after 2 months, left shortly after cuz boring work friend from twitter referred me to this crypto infra company and i had 0 knowledge in crypto, but still started working with them as an intern was doing 450$ a month for 3 months then we raised a small check from an angel then did 2500$/month for the rest of my time before quitting to finish school then after school got over was finally able to start working again, again through a referral and through twitter reachouts, multiple crypto founders dmmed me, trialed at some places didnt like many, then chose a fully remote, async, lean team building an amazing product started out at 4k$ a month during trial then when i switched fulltime negotiated to 9k$ a month worked for a few months then left cuz thought since i was on a gap year might as well do my own thing than work for someone then was building my own shit in crypto for a few months, then decided college is useless for me then joined them again as a blockchain researcher at 12k$ a month so i’ll specify some nuances i have twitter reach and everytime i tweet something related to me being unemployed i get like 4-5 dms with offers most of them are founders reaching out at series a-c companies i dont like most because shitty structure im super spoiled in the terms of remote async and full leadership end to end im pretty dumb tbh, just did the right thing at the right time but still learning on the daily!
