With AI improving we see it is quite capable of writing decent codes, how can someone new to tech decide on what to pick up? Frontend or Backend or both. Nowadays they say Full stack developers are in demand but shouldn't one be good at at least one thing and have knowledge about other things? How to prioritise what to learn. There are just so many things that I'm a bit confused as to what to learn and focus on. I'd like to seek advice from a future perspective, and any predictions on how the tech industry might shape up.

Been doing them for a while - nowadays feel people have no recall of the principles and just go between tasks from left to right. Today I heard the most epic remark wherein a dev ops personnel just said “no blockers, just checking in!”. I found it to be hilariously honest - anyone else have any funny standup stories?

Ask any tech bro to work on Saturday and they will start crying about work life balance. FYI most professionals in India work on Saturdays. In India more than 90% folks are self employed. 

Lawyers, accountants, doctors, plumbers, carpenters, business owners all of them work on Saturdays. Your work life balance comes because you enjoy their services on Saturday and Sunday going around spending money and having fun. 

So not working on Saturday is a privilege and not a compulsion. 

On one side we are sad that companies lay us off and on the other side we want work life balance even at the cost of the growth. We despise anyone who creates wealth. 

Chal kya raha hai? Sabko startups mein bhi MNREGA scheme chahiye kya? Have some growth mindset folks. 

With so much work life balance you are just stuck in Manali traffic jam and Krishnagiri toll booth.

I am manager at Amazon, Did BBA,MBA from a private institution. Now I feel that the scope for tech is more as compared to operations. 
I have indulged my self in a python course, though I am learning a lot new things but feels like practise could be the best teacher here.

Looking forward for some great suggestion from my tech buddies that what all I can take care of so that this journey remains engaging for me and does not lead to only frustration !

Hi folks

I'm currently working as a Full stack developer with 6 YOE now and TC 32LPA. While I enjoy the Technical side of my profession, I have long been considering appearing for state pcs exams. Mostly the reason is the job security , exposure to great connections (civil servants) , other sources of incomes etc. while being in private , I'll have to keep upskilling , pay upfront 30% taxes to govt and face this job uncertainty. I think 40-50 lpa in private should be equal to 10-15 lpa of govt given power , prestige and other benefits.I took a career break 8 years back to appear for upsc but left due to financial considerations. Pls. Advise.
