Want to help aging parents, looking for remote work
It's been 2 years since I've lived outside my native city. My parents are aging (70 above) and I want to live with them, especially papa. Have found myself closer to him as I grew older kyuki bachpan mey phat'ti thi I have 2.5+ years of work experience as a PM at start ups. I like working under pressure. Hot fixes or quick releases. I believe in management which observes and takes decisions quickly and releases quickly and doesn't play too safe. Also, I don't want to quit my current company, but I'll have to since no WFH can be offered. A chance to move back home is the only reason I am thinking of switching. Am I doing the correct thing? Let me know.
Yes, you're doing the right thing. Family comes first. Look for remote roles that fit your skills. Many companies offer WFH now. Prioritize your parents' well-being.
Yes Family First, as long as you don't have any kind of loan or stressful situation, giving top priority to family is good choice.
Office people will move on when you are not there your family wont, not that (office people) they are bad but they don't have any choice.
