 My department must've had some 50% placement back then.  
 One of my mate is still looking for a job and applying for all the govt competitive exams. 
 IIT doesn't guarantee a rosy picture 🙂

Those 22% might be 
 1. Started preparing for govt exams early but couldn’t get the job 
 2. Never got placed so followed the step 1 
 3. Most folks from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical etc branches found difficult to get the job in IT sector

This is true .everyday IIT students blabber like anything near the tea shop usually we met

I am sharing my personal life with you all. 

Kindly address me what to do,

I was born in poor family, my father was a small business man my mother was a house wife. 

In 90s my grandfather was in power to rule in our house no one can disobey his decision. 

My father is two brothers. Big brother has no childers. I am the only son between them.

One day my grandfather decide to give me to big brother. At the age of 3 I was away with my real mom. 

They happily treat me as a our child, One day I also called him papa and mummy. Don't know how but I did it, takes courage 💪 for the first time and then it was usual. 

They spend around 18 years on my care. I become adult now and goes for higher study and leave the town where they stay.

So I am the link between both of my parents they both want me, somewhere there is a compition between them for me, not sure.

My real father always supports me that your first priority is your big father and mother and Then me and your real mother.

I was connected with my real father and mother after so much when I was come for further study.

I can not explain you the hole story guys. But I am connected to both of them. If they divided or share me its not there fault it was my grade father fault.

I always make sure that there bonds become strong day by day. But some conflict were there between them. 

My question is to you guys is that, I was stuck into one thing the empire my big father and mother has created should I aspect that they should give me or not. My real father says don't think such things. You will not get anything. My real father is so negative person. But he says what ever is mine you get after me. I am earning well in my life and want to create my own empire. But if they give there property it boost my speed for more. My big mother is close to her family. I think her decision will be last.

What to do your opinion 🤔

I have seen people with good ideas and sensible POVs keeping quiet in a meeting because they were cautious of being judged by their colleagues and seniors who wouldn't stop making jokes on juniors to be the funny ones in the room.

Kalki: A Mixed Bag with an Environmental Message
I recently saw Kalki with a friend, and the movie left me with mixed feelings. While the environmental message was clear and impactful, the stretched runtime and unsatisfying cliffhanger ending (clearly setting up a part two) left much to be desired.
The film's core message resonated deeply: it's a stark warning to humanity to mend its ways before it's too late. The Earth's resources – water, air, and food – are not infinite, and the movie portrays the dangers of neglecting our planet. As the saying goes, "We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." Kalki compels us to become more conscientious caretakers of our environment.
While the environmental message was commendable, the movie's pacing and excessive length hindered the overall experience. Perhaps the impactful message could have been delivered in a tighter timeframe, leaving a more lasting impression.

So i started working with zee5 as a Smart TV developer right out of college. After about 2 years , in March 2024 , layoffs happened due the merger between Sony and Zee was called off.

So i was looking  for Software developer opportunities , after multiple rejections , hundreds of application, got a decent offer from To The New for the same position of Smart TV developer . I am also getting some raise on the previous CTC , which i am glad considering the current market situation.

So i just wanted to ask about the org To The New , how its work culture is ? Also like what are the growth prospects there ? Also since technically it provides service to other big techs.So will it be an issue if i want to switch to a better product based company.

Give your thoughts , just asking for some insights.

Excited about something I saw on the internet after a very long time

Some of my friends are working and mid-scale startups that have been delaying salaries since late last year. Is this becoming a norm now or was it always like this?

Hey folks,

I'm currently working for a US client and I am 100% billable to them if that information matters. According to the offer letter, the notice period is of 90 days but there's a buyback option where one can choose to pay and not serve the notice period. But from what I've heard, it's up to Capgemini to accept that buyback offer or not.

So I've recently received an offer from a Singapore based startup and I told them that I can join in 30 days cuz if I hadn't, they wouldn't have even interviewed me in the first place. 
They're okay with buying back my 1 month and let me serve 30 days but I'm concerned what if Capgemini refuses to let me leave.

What are my options here? Can I tell them that I'm leaving company due to some personal/health issues so I can get an early release. Do I need to involve a lawyer?

We are in a big cycle where India will become everything great. Last 8 years have taught me that we are in the greatest momentum bet of this country's life time. So, don't rule out India. 

Build in India. Invest in India. Believe in India. 

There are many in this community that are complete nihilists and supremely bearish towards India's prospects. And let me tell you, for once in this country's history, being a complete maximalist on India is a bet that you will not regret. 

There will be a new generation of millionaires and billionaires that will be minted on new industries. So keep hustling and this country will unleash great dividends for you and your legacy.

Indians killed quora with cringe questions. The same cringe is now surfacing on grapevine too.  
  
 To be fair, many Indians moved away from facebook and are now increasingly not using insta for the same reason.

We all know that social media has now become an information overload. Might happen same with Grapevine. I believe the only way to make it simple and meaningful is to limit the user generated content. 

I'm working on an app with Grapevine like company level communities:
- it'll have app generated polls which are mostly positive feedback or just fun compliments
- users can pick their coworkers in a poll to give them that compliment
- the sender of the compliment will remain ANONYMOUS 

I think this can help some of us to get the much needed good things to hear at our workplace. Can help build a better, fun and positive culture at the org level as well. 

What do you guys think? Does it sound good to any of you to have something like this?
