What is in your mind!!

Hey All, I am writing this to express how I am feeling since last 1 year now. This post will be a bit lengthy but I would be grateful if anyone could help me even a bit. I moved into a new company 1year back and due to bad work environment I left. I took a months break and joined a new company now. I have a total 5 years of work experience, my salary is extremely good. ( I don’t worry about this at all for now) My problem is I don’t know what to do in my life. I guess I have quarter life crisis. Earlier I wanted to do music and act , I took professional classes and left because I felt bored idk why. I felt like I need someone to guide me and handhold me since I know no one in this industry. Talking about my job I have always moved into roles I loved every bit of work and I m very sincere and hardworking. I stopped working out , I stopped cycling, I stopped painting. I stopped liking everything literally. Idk how to get back at things. I feel I am gonna die anyway why I need to do this , or that or etc etc. I even took counselling but it did not seem yo help me. Idk what to do. Please share your experiences too and what I need to do.

How do you guys dissociate from office shit once you log out and not let your job be your personality. I am glad I joined grapevine so I can write about all the shit that goes on and try and have an actual life outside office. In the name of hustle we have actually reduced the importance of living life to the fullest.

please share something you have been working on and would like to become really good at doing it or even if you are just dreaming about it and would like to start doing it. It could be related to anything in your life.

I can't seem to relate to much of the non-FAANG junta out there. I mean I have a cushy job with probably 0.1% pay of all SWEs(pretty much like all of us do). But these cookie-cutter roles have been taking a mental toll on me. Like I am getting paid but I feel a little purpose-less. What am I gunning for in this life? All my life I wanted to go to a good college to get into a good company. In college I wanted to get a good codeforces rank so that I could get into FAANG. Now that I am in FAANG I have nothing to look forward to. Any of you all feeling this way? Because I don't see myself offer-shopping and feeling much happy about that either.

Imagine this : You are in your 30s You have your own home fully furnished, nothing too fancy but big enough to give a separate room for each family member You have a family car.. Not a luxury one, just a normal mid sized SUV U have no loans, no emi, no obligations You don't make a crazy amount but have some job security making early 6 figures a month.. Question : Are you happy? What else would you buy, what else would you aim for? What are the other necessities.. We all know there's no limit to wanting more.. If u don't want to upgrade to luxury version of stuff u have what else do u need in life?

Being a 24 yr old, I feel like I accomplished nothing in my life. Whatever I've tried to accomplish, I've failed to do so. I have no idea where my life's going.

I have observed this( at least with my self) that whatever goals you set for your self ( X salary, Y net worth etc etc.) once you're there it becomes ordinary extremely fast and it starts feeling normal again and on you go towards the next milestone. I was wondering when does this end? Do any of you have reached a point where you don't have the lust for more? You're happy with what you have? Did you do something actively to make that mindset? Or were you a "satisfied with what you have" kind of a person all your life?

I am penning this post because so far working in corporate I have realised that somehow we all are going through the same shit. Not everyone needs an adventure in life and start a business. Some of us like our stability. But with that stabilty comes loneliness. Everyone in corporate ( talking about bachelors) is looking for meaningful relationship with good sex. Approaching the other person in office is difficult. Half of us don’t believe in marraige but will get married to someone else’s love one day. I dont know what is the solution to this. More importantly I dont even know the problem. But something is missing. I see everyone in the morning wearing badges sipping coffee trying to gather energy just enough to survive the day. There is no gaurantee of job, life and happiness. Somehow we all have become incapable of living. We are just surving. These are mixed thoughts just like my morning mails.

So I am working at a startup for around a year now. Everyday I see, it feels, what am I really doing? Where is the life headed? Doing bare minimum or doing your tasks and fucking off isn't enough. It's expected that we outgrow constantly, as if it's this work that we can always think about and nothing else. At the end, am wondering if it's still worth it? 1 day it feels that let's just quit it! Next day I feel, okay, I do want the money. I ain't looking for suggestions here, just wanted to see if anyone else felt this way
