Try to incorporate AI tools and code interpreter in your workflow if possible

Already doing it. That's the reason why my code is optimised and not breaking the system 😂

If it's still too stressful maybe you can talk to your seniors about it and have an honest conversation. Maybe they can get you interns to ease the burden.

Started working as a fresher in a growing indian startup as a data scientist. Learning is good or feels good as it's my first job but I have to do extra work as the data science team is new and team size is super small.

Using frugal techniques as deadlines is quite short and makes me stressed a lot of time as I don't get time to correctly verify results.

Any idea how to improve the situation? right now I am just in stress and confusion.

I recently joined this company as a data analyst and I came to know from my friend who was also interviewing for the same role that my manager wasn't happy with my pace and wanted some candidates with better knowledge of coding however I had informed them in my interview that I am a beginner and don't have enough experience. I am really worried as I am also in my probation period, also my other colleague wasn't happy with my work, I had to do that again and again. Any suggestions or tips??

Wlb is good , salary is good and environs is superb . The company has no data culture , very less data , no data literacy , no scale . I am getting panic attack that I am not doing good cutting edge work , boring work . People in Indian startup like Swiggy flipkart are doing next generation of work in dl and llm . I have 18 years of experience working in b2b e commerce based out of Kenya working remote from India. I am setting up data engineering analytics and data science work from 0. Work is very boring less data , simple dashboard, same small propensity models . Wlb is superb and company is very happy and team is performing . I want high impact high pressure job with brilliant work in llm and computer vision . I am not getting any interview calls for last 6 months nor getting any referral  . Is my career is finished . Tc 1.3 cr fixed  . I  can't sleep in night .  I have worked in flipkart , Swiggy and Walmart labs . Please help how can I get interesting work

Frustrated with work in data science

I have been one of the lucky ones to have made a switch to a new company just before the layoff season began. I had multiple offers at the time, but ultimately chose one where I was getting to build something from scratch in a large organization at my current designation and was also getting a good hike (20%). The offers I dropped had a better title with a team to manage. However, the options were to either take a pay cut to join a Series A company or a large organization with a known bad work culture.

Off late, I'm feeling a little frustrated with the new job. I feel like I won't get chance to move to a better title for atleast a year. Since the recession period has kicked in, the new team needs to show results in order to get a promotion and the targets are quite steep for that. 

There is some learning that I have while building this product and that is definitely a motivation, but also feel I'm missed out an opportunity to move to next level in career. 

On one hand, I feel like I should have taken the pay cut to join the series A startup. On the other hand, I also feel that I should be happy that I'm getting comfortably more pay at a time where folks are having poor appraisals, pay cuts or even getting laid off.

Given a choice between title and money what would you choose?

Recently I joined an NBFC in data analytics and there is no such analysis work here. I'm only publishing MIS reports on a daily basis and nothing else. There is no analysis work, everything they are doing on Excel only.
Since 2 months I'm in a lot of anxiety and stress. There are no interview calls. This year i gave only 1 interview in 5 months, that was on last friday only.
I don't know what to do now, it has become a loop now. Study and apply for the openings while you don't get a single call from anywhere.
Need suggestions and help from you all experienced folks 🙏🙏

I work at an early stage startup, I absolutely love my work and have enough learning opportunities. But still there are many things not covered by my job description, and I want to spend a couple of hours daily learning those. The problem is that since it's very early stage, there's always an overload of work and I either don't find time, or am too exhausted to focus on studying. Over the last month I've managed to carve out time for gym, but self study seems like a farther goal. How to manage?
P.s. it's remote so there's no time going to commute

Hi everyone, sorry for the rant in advance!

 So I have recently joined as a consultant and got tagged in a project 2 months back. Given that it was a stress period deployment, the pressure at times has been maddening. Besides, I am a fresher from a not so same background, so I often take a little time more than others in a few matters in grasping things. At times, I am scolded by manager for some minor mistakes which I do not complain about as I consider those as learning steps but sometimes it gets me that despite working for more than 12 hours a day ( not even getting to charge that many hours). Not that I am looking for any easy way out but some constructive suggestions would really help. Thanks in advance.

I am a software engineer with 3 years of experience .For the first two initial years I was working as a QA in one of the good product companies with a very sorted work life balance .
I had recently switched to a BE role in a startup 
I am very much lagging behind here because of my QA background  ,the people here are very much talented and are great problem solvers .How do I reach that level ?
I have been  struggling to keep up with the pace here and finding it difficult to approach the tasks,even though i have been giving so much of time to work .
And the TL  in my team have a certain amount of expectations and hence they don't help according to that .(which i feel is fair)
How should I approach this  and level up here 
Anyone with a similar background and story please share your experience :)

I'm a fresher with 1 year of experience in Wipro, I am an electronics graduate and joined the IT sector. Initially I have prepared core Java and Sql and cracked the job offer with a 4 Lpa package. I'm currently learning DSA with java and preparing for cloud certifications in AWS as part of my job role. I don't have clarity on how to move on further like do competitive programming or Front end or dedicate myself for Data analytics roles and excel further as a data engineer or as a Data scientist in future.
The buzzing sound of parents asking me to get a government job is also a factor making me question my career and myself.
It's the first ever post of mine on a platform, I would love to hear from anyone who gives me guidance.

Hello people,
I graduated last year and joined a fast-paced startup back in july as an SDE (2023 grad). So many things have changed so far within the company. Company has closed good series B funding. The top level management has changed, my manager and colleagues resigned due to the kind of work and cultural shift and lots of work but I stood there and delivered projects (was making them from scratch). Whatever was thrown on me during this time, I took that as an opportunity and delivered that. I literally worked on 4-5 tech stacks and built complex projects from scratch with 3 members team only.

Now it seems like their ask is never ending and they again want me to put in another techstack since the existing products we built are working fine and we are just maintaining it now. The culture of the company is still very good despite having lots of work though the pay is above average.

I am seeing my friends around me joining another company and getting much better hikes. I also want to make a switch but deep down in my heart I have these questions coming up:

1. Should I switch before completing 2 years since it's my first job and I have spent only 1 year so far here. I really don't want to make this habit of switching again and again.

2. The kind of bonding I have made with my colleagues so far. Will I be able to get the same environment in the new company?

3. Should I join the startup again or should I target MNCs now. Because I have been building multiple complex projects for the past 1.7 years (this is my 3rd startup) from scratch and this is also getting normalized for me. Is it time to work on a scale?

4. Feel less valued sometimes. Despite delivering lots of efforts, it seems like I am not getting valued much because it's kinda hardware company and things go around that only.

5. Although, I am working on complex projects here but sometimes I feel missing out if I hear what others are doing. Should I go to a pure software based company?

6. I am not making much here to be honest despite having much better coding skills (10 base + 2.5 PB + 2.5 VP) but I am able to manage  my money well despite living in Bangalore. Should I be hungry for more?

I would be happy to read your opinion on these guys.

I am a student doing my internship at a startup in Bangalore. I get paid very less. I want to join a product based company. I didn't do much of either competitive programming or DSA. Currently i am learning DSA and planning to start Competitive programming to crack product companies. But i am confused is this right or should I follow some other paths??

Confused of what to do

I am a new grad working at a big MNC as a Data Analyst. It's extremely beurocratic and slow. We do meets all day and no work, it's as if we are paid for meetings. I was quite excited about it as I though I would be working on interesting ML projects (I find ML and AI quite interesting). But all I have been working on is projects where you try to maintain fucked up legacy stuff. 

I see a way out, startups where I would actually build stuff, use my skills to solve actual problems. Is this perception correct? Will work actually be more interesting and useful in startups?

I am also concerned about the pay? Although I earn a pretty average salary even here, I suspect it might be lower in startups. But I have a gut feeling that I will learn, and grow a lot more working at startups coupled with networking with entrepreneurial people which should result in higher earnings in the long run. Again is this perception correct?

Hello guys, I'm 2023 fresher, I just got a job  as  a frontend developer, it is my first job, but from past couple of days, I feel very anxious and I'm nervous and shaking, sometimes I feel I don't know lot of things at work,  I can't stop thinking about it,   sometimes  I feel like they might fire me from my job bcz maybe my work doesn't meet their expectations as much as they expect, but I'm working hard, " aap me se kafi senior kabhi fresher rahe honge" I would be happy , if you will tell me how to overcomes this,

I'm nervous in my first job

I am also an engineer with just 2 years of experience. Recently joined startup and getting so damn tight deadline. The project I'm working on is relatively small but there are so many states update and too frequently.
They don't have any low level design or high level design or any data pipeline or message broker service. Just figma arts which I'm suppose to implement but the state functionality is complex and not able to deliver within time.

What should I do?

Please advise me if you are seeing this doesn't matter good or bad.

I'm good at all the things (I'll say better but I lost my confidence after the incident ) I'm doing but not able to get all functionality done on time. From data science team all API's ready. So please suggest me some idea with your experience.
