Hello everyone.. can anyone suggest some tech related IT domain in which I can enter as a fresher .. basically I am not a fresher I have 2 years of gap I am 2021 mech passout.. I have knowledge of advanced SQL, intermediate python, basics of c/c++ ,Excel,POWER BI .. please  suggest some domains other than data analytics it's very crowded there...and as I am having difficulties getting a decent or tech related job .. I also thought about full stack web d. but it is also very  crowded I want to get a job this year itself as I have already wasted a lot of time.

1. Your level of experience in the field (e.g., beginner, intermediate, advanced).
2. The time frame you were given to learn a new technology or subject.
3. The resources provided (e.g., PDFs, online courses, mentorship).
4. Your comfort level in completing the learning within the given time frame.

For instance, if you were given 15 days to learn and execute a project in Go language from scratch using only PDF resources, and you felt comfortable with the timeline, please share your experience.

For the past 1.5 yrs, I have been working for a legacy product and hence didn't learn any new technologies. This job was right out of college and hence I didn't pick this. Entire takeaway from 1.5 yrs was 
1.  Simple Java(version 8) code (no frameworks)
2. SVN for version control
3. Dealt with millions of lines of code and hundreds of services in one single file. 

No new technologies, no cloud, no databases. 

But I am very confident and fluent in Data Structures and Algorithms ( Masters in Theory CS from top IIT). What shall I learn next to keep up with the IT industry? I don't have any particular interest towards say DevOps, BigData. I just like to solve problems.  Please advice.

In view of a long-term perspective, I am contemplating dedicating time to learning an additional technology and engaging in side projects. To the senior people in the industry I need your advice badly. 

My background: I am a 2023,CSE graduate from NSUT Dwarka (Tier -1) college. I had an offee from company with CTC of 12LPA and that offer got revoked.

Currently I am working in a service based startup with peanuts as sallary. The work I am being assign here is mainly of Langchain and ML(which I don't have much interest in but can do if required).How do you get out of this company and should I stay here just for experience for atleast one year.

I was graduated in August of '22. I was placed in 3 companies during the campus placement drive, out of which one is an MNC and the other two are, let's say pretty famous in India.  But due to bad decision making and other factors I decided to go with the MNC. It's been a while now yet there is no information from the company. The last mail I received was in the month of November, which is why I am afraid now. Are there any internships or job openings I can apply for?

I'm an non IT candidate with decent skills in programming. Are there any courses I can do meanwhile?

Advice for IT fresher

I joined TCS 3yrs ago and since then I couldn't switch. I am planning since last year March but actually not able to work on it. Even I couldn't apply actively. Currently I am involved in a role which has nothing to do with development and I feel bit less confident. So I want to know why it is so hard to leave? Does everyone feel same? Is this ecosystem somewhat responsible for this?

Why is it so hard to leave first company?

Honestly, I only work with excel and some other small tools for performance engineering in Mainframe.

I'm a b sc graduate. I'm currently working in a company for 2.52LPA. In- hand is literally 17.2k. I completed two years in Feb 2024. Now I have 2 YOE but no proper skill, with no proper working experience. I going nowhere staying here in the current company.
Should I resign now and upskill or Should I upskill,get another offer and then resign.

I am currently in a company with 8.55 lpa ctc ( just graduated this year btech cse) . We do python databricks also sql server and IICS .( basically data engineering ) . I don't want to do data engineering. I want to learn something else which is exciting and will give me more pay . So now I am learning Golang but stackoverflow survey says that zig language pays the highest ( quite strange ) . I am a 2019 graduate. I worked in a non-tech field for some time then I decided to switch into a IT sector, for that I decided to first learn the basic skills needed so I joined a company who teaches all the skills to get industry ready. 
I learned Html, css, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Python, sqlite and still learning react & node. 
But now there is a good gap in between due to some personal reasons & my non-It experience will not count and I will be treated as a Fresher only. It's 2024, I am searching for a good start. 
what should I do now? How to start my career. There is a marriage pressure from the family which is Turing into a big stress now but I wanted to be independent first. Please help me, I seriously need your help. 
If there is any company who is hiring Freshers for FRONT-END DEVELOPERS, FULL STACK(MERN), SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS position, please let me know. Or if anyone can guide me what to do, I will always be grateful 🙏🏼

Please Help, I really need your advice 🙏🏼

Hi folks,
I recently got laid off from a startup where 50% of the engineering team was let go. I was working as an SDE and during a restructuring, my role was changed to SDE-2 without any increase in pay or responsibilities. I have a total of 2.5 years of experience. In my first company (where I worked for a year), there weren't many projects, so I didn't have the opportunity to learn or code much. However, in my second company, I primarily worked on the backend using Go, Django, Kafka, MongoDB, & PostgreSQL.
I realize that although I gained exposure in my second job, I didn't delve deeply into the technologies. I mainly focused on completing business tasks quickly, learning new things just to finish the task at hand, without solidifying my understanding afterward.
My experience seems suitable for an SDE-2 role, but I'm unsure if I can perform the role with complete honesty and may struggle. Some friends in similar situations reassure me that this struggle is common in SDE-2 roles. However, I feel I might be better off starting again as an SDE-1, focusing on my weak areas, and aiming for a promotion later. There are very few SDE-1 job openings currently.
I am actively interviewing for SDE-2, and not able to clear system design interviews. Tbh, I feel very humiliated as when I am not able to answer their questions it feels like I am wasting their time or they would be thinking: Oh this guy has been working for so long and doesn't even know anything.

Now I get it why people think Indian Software engineers are not that good in comparison to other countries' devs: the reason is people like me. 
This realization burdens me with guilt, occupying my thoughts constantly. However, I am confident that I can crack SDE-1 easily. I have good DSA & good enough LLD, &HLD skills for SDE1. I am looking for companies who can match my prev Salary: 22 L, 2 Bonus.
Can u help how to navigate this career situation effectively without increasing my guilt or feeling constantly humiliated?
