Work culture at Amazon?

I've heard from multiple connections that the work culture (for software engineers) in Amazon India is very demanding, with almost no work-life balance. Is that true? is it the same even in Amazon offices outside India? Or do they fair better because of the social structure there which inherently advocates for work-life balance?

Depends completely on the team you’re in. India ops is fucked

Not true, Global PMs have to manage, sync with multiple time zones 🥲

Yeah I can imagine that it gets tiring working across time zones

But is the work culture better than India ops?
