The DOJ brought the right kind of case against an Aggregator, which stagnates by being too nice; the goal is for companies to act like they actually have enemies.

1. Result quality decline- For any content, I generally end up getting lots of spam results, essentially spammy SEO links. 
2. Shit ton of ads- Almost first 5 posts are ads for any generic query. 

Hate using it. Someone needs to disrupt Search business soon and bring in new business model. 

Ps: I know about Neeva and few other companies attempting to change it. I sincerely hope they do. Also OpenAi is leading competitor to search  now.

Everyone wants Google's distribution, but no one wants to pay for it.

Everyone wants Google to stop doing what it's doing, but no one wants to invest in an alternative.

Alternatives, if any coming up, from India will be of cheap quality. Does anyone remember what happened to BharatOS, or what's happening with Krutrim. 

What these app developers are not realising is that, their business is more or less happening because Android as an OS is there. It's not just about play store. 

I wonder why they're not cribbing against the Apple app store. 

Could the rates be lower? Yes.
But what's in it for Google or Apple when that entire section of business is because of them?

No one is stopping anyone from building a new OS, a better one. As long as a good quality one is not coming up, everyone will have to rely on Google or Apple. 

It feels really bad when the founders try to make it a national issue as well 🤦🏻‍♂️

Oh, and even if a new OS comes up, I wonder how they're going to sustain it, plus make people choose that without the availability of other apps.

You type something niche and it forces you to select a keyword from their database that is either irrelevant or increases friction.

For example, when you type pineapple crumble cheesecake, it'll force you to select search results for pineapple cheesecake. Or when you type popping boba tea, it'll show you boba tea.

Atleast not in the form it is now. Found a rare good post on LinkedIn via Twitter which lists the reason why i think so. Also, I was reading psychology of money and one of the chapters discussed how GE used to be the most valued company in 2000s and how within 20 years, everything went to manhole.

Google is seriously going through a leadership crisis. I hate Pichai from the gut. We Indians like him coz he's brown munda, but I have never seen such narrow minded CEO since Balmer.

The App Store  and Play Store are a duopoly and we have allowed them way too much power. Atleast Android has options but Apple is a complete walled garden and they won the lawsuit against Epic like wtf
