A suggestion to Grapevine founders
Everyone and their uncles are jumping into crypto now a days and this seems to be the next financial revolution where people will try to ditch FIAT currencies and leverage the power of crypto.
We as Grapevine users have been contributing to the platform and accumulating grapes. Why not build a block chain platform and make use of the grapes? If these grapes can be listed in an exchange then the user base can be expanded to overseas.
There will be better quality posts, better tagging, better moderation etc. It will generate more employment for the company. App developers can integrate their apps into this platform as there already is a huge user base so the developers get a lot of visibility.
Not sure if they are already considering this idea so I posted.
Hope the founders will read this.

how come making grapes as a crypto currency will make sure better quality post / tagging/ moderation . I think everyone will start spamming for more grapes

There are ways to manage that. Eg Give 1 grape for initial post and higher for postive engagement. Spamming reports results in deduction of grapes.
IMHO, doable idea but Watercolor will have to build an entire ecosystem for using grapes.

There will be moderators who can take care of spams. There will be more grapes for moderators to do better moderation activity. There has to be incentives to keep sanity on the forum. If the founders consider this then there is nothing like it. I'm not sure if any crypto coin has been launched from India yet at least they haven't made any news if there is any. Grapevine can take the lead and deliver this.
Jio has already started Jio coin and allocating coins for Jiosphere users. It's in beta stage and started couple of months ago. But Grapevine can do much better.
