How do I get 20+ LPA packages?
College dropout, 4 years of experience in software dev, stuck at 45k a month in a small foreign startup. Highly skilled, but not getting interview calls from top companies (applying on linkedin). Even when I get interviews, companies ask for my salary expectations and then ask about my current salary. If I say 20 LPA, I don't have the current salary to back this demand.
Shop with multiple offers. My brother was in a service based company working for 3.36LPA. Started shopping with companies, first 5LPA, then 7, then 12 and joined one at 18. Then switched after an year with 24LPA.

Well I just asked a friend and he talked in his company to get me hired. They are already impressed by my CV and they are considering creating a position for me. Its a direct jump from 45k to 20+ LPA very likely.

Hey
Aim for small company before, my first job was giving me around 6 ctc, I got first offer letter from Amdocs 9.5 ctc, second from oracle 12 ctc, then adobe 16 ctc.
Hope this helps.

My first was 16k a month. After 4 years I am still at 45k. No way I am going for small companies now.

my sister (not in the tech field, works in advertising) forged her pay slip and jumped from 38,000 p/m to 83,000 p/m. her forged slip said she was earning 65,000 p/m or something close to that range. while i do not explicitly condone this, if you think that a background check won’t happen - you can always negotiate a higher salary by lying. again, don’t condone this - but it worked for my sister.

Background checks happen and if caught one can be banned from that company

eh, it depends. they don’t happen in the advertising industry for sure. startups also go by your references, it’s only big companies that have the funds and the need to run background checks.
