5 reasons to go to B school

I want to move abroad in most likely hood and I was pondering if I should go for an MBA. You'll know my dilemma at the end. Tad bit about me: Professionally: 3YOE 55 LPA xash SPM in a series C company with 1 promotion every year. Worked at 2 orgs in similar space Acads BTech from tier 3 college 9.1 CGPA Interned at an NIT and Ferrari in Italy (onsite) Couple of international scholarships + talks + active coder Financially NW > 1cr liquid Side hustle makes >2L PM and increasing MoM Target school Stanford GSB Wharton UCB Chicago booth Now, the dilema is that professionally and financially im doing okay but I'm not sure about how things are in India currently. I don't want my fam to be subject to the life i had(we can debate this later on) Now, for folks who did MBA or knows someone who did similar stuff, please help me out No negativity please 🙏🏻

I have an offer from IIM-Kozhikode (EPGP) and ISB (PGPpro). IIM-K is approx 15 lakhs, 2 year-long program. Classes every weekend, but have to attend online at a centre in Bangalore. ISB is approx 30 lakhs, 1.5 year-long long program. Classes alternate between online one week and in-person (Bangalore) one week. No Executive MBA offers placements. I'm doing this for the sake of a higher education, and hopefully securing leadership roles in Big Tech in the longer run. Purely from a ROI standpoint, which college should I choose?

Hi, I have over 3.5 years of experience in IT and working at a service based company. I'm working in Oracle PaaS tech stack and not sure how much scope it has because not every organisation uses it. To switch technologies is difficult within an organization, unless you are lucky to have a project like that. I was thinking to consider MBA in business analytics because of the same. Will that be worth it or can someone suggest an organization which helps switch technologies?

I need some advice. 1. I am a fresher and am considering giving the CAT exam this year. 2. Currently working as a data science intern and frankly, not enjoying it a bit. I dread debugging. I also feel everyday that AI can easily do 75% of my work. 3. I want some business side roles, thinking I won't have to stare at a screen all day, fixing bugs. What roles can I expect after doing a MBA, is it worth the extra 2 years and the money, and if you are someone who can relate to my situation, what are some of the things you enjoy about your work and some things which you absolutely hate. I might have completely wrong expectations, so please feel free to correct me.

It’s quite expensive to pursue one, but I’m worried not doing it will stagnate my career long term. Any views on whether I should apply (4yrs work experience currently, have worked in a boutique consulting firm previously). Any help will be sincerely appreciated!!

Hey everyone. I have an experience of around 3 years a d currently with my MBA plans. I want do my MBA from Tier 1 college (atleast top 50) because I graduated from Tier 3 college. Should I try for ISB or go abroad. Should it be 1 year or 2 year? I have a lot of questions like these. Please share your suggestions. It would be helpful to many.

Specifically a question to all the t1 tech clg grads (mainly software engineers) earning 1l+ pm out of clg with a lot of scope for growth. Post mba avg salary is 1.5l per month. I can understand ppl desperate for a career change and non tech ppl who are underpaid and don't really have ab option but it baffles me why well paid folks would shell out 30lakhs kr take the burden of loan just to learn how to appear smarter than you actually are instead of investing it for a meagre salary increase that can be achieved by job switches. I'd love to hear any insights about ppl who've already been in the space. Why u did, salary PRE post sector etc

Just wanted to know if your top B schools in India actually are worth the money you’re ready to shell out or is it something that’s just gold covered ***. Incase of doing an MBA any recommendations at what stage in my career should I go for one and which schools should I apply for ? 👽
