PG or Flat? Help me out pls

So I'm staying in pg from past 1.6 years and office was in indiranagar but now office got shifted to Cambridge layout which 3kms from pg. The costs I'm bearing are Pg rent : 11k (two sharing) Commute : 3-3.5k I want to stay near by office, so I have scouted a fully furnished 1rk in halasuru which is 1km from office and the costs I'll bearing are Rent : 12k Deposit : 30k Wifi : 700 Renovation charges : 12k at the time of vacating Note : I might look for job change based on appraisal in April (not at all sure) So which will be better option for me, I feel like living alone and independently and pg started to feel like a jail to me. Pls help a grapeviner out. TIA

Unless you're facing issues with your current PG, I don't see any reason why you should move to a flat, especially considering that you might have to relocate within 4 months. . Even if there are issues with PG, I'd recommend to first try to get those resolved or look for another PG, and keep flat only as last resort. . Be aware that flats also come with their own set of problems. Like you might have to chase landlord for basic repairs or otherwise pay for them yourselves. Plus managing cook and cleaning househelps, electricity bill, garbage disposal, LPG, RO, ordering rations etc. it just adds up

I get breakfast, lunch and snacks in office and room comes with washing machine and water supply right next to room. I'll have make oatmeals as I go to gym. I don't eat food at all in my current pg, which is costing be a bit more

Was in the same situation on deciding about flat or PG ... Couldn't manage flat alone , so moved to a good PG . Also , as you are saying your office provides food ...just write pros and cons based on cost . And if cost isn't an issue , go with flat

Hello BLR folks, I currently stay with my cousin’s fam but want to move out. I have observed a lot of good pgs have high prices like 12k for double sharing and stuff like that. My main requirement is privacy and a personal space. I work remotely so flexible on locations too but i think i should go for a 1bhk or a 1rk. What do you guys suggest? What is the best way to go about finding a low budget PG accommodation?

I have stayed in BTM Layout 1st Stage in one pg from mid-2017 to March 2020 . I was paying 8000 for a room with an attached bathroom. I am a software engineer with 2 years of experience and have been jobless since Dec 2022. I have decided that I can no longer stay at home and want to move to a city where I can network, upskill and hopefully find a job in the coming months. I will be really grateful if anyone reading this could suggest me how do I go about finding a good pg accommodation for 10-11K monthly rent. I prefer to stay single and have an attached bathroom. What could be some areas where I can find accommodation for cheap and within my pre-conceived budget? I have very limited savings from my last job and want to utilise it judiciously before finding my next job. I will really appreciate your assistance 🙏 I am thinking of booking an Airbnb for 2-3 days and then start looking. But Bangalore is huge and not all areas are appropriate to stay especially for job-seekers who might be required to travel. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
