I am the front end engineering lead at a Pune based service company for startups (avoiding naming it)
We provide engineering partnerships for all possible tech stack (AI, Data engineering, Golang, Python, React, DevOps)
Recently we got acquired by RSystems which is a Blackstone portfolio company
My pay is about 35 as base, in addition about 20 is what I make through my bonuses and I stand to make 3.2cr (pre tax) from the acquisition (over next 2 years)
Now I am primarily a hands on frontend engineer and as a part of a service based company I’ve helped a lot of startup’s build awesome front ends
Unfortunately, I feel like I’ve hit the ceiling now, I’m lost
I’ve been told that to make it big eventually you need to be a part of a product based company and you need to be full stack (backend heavy)
Post acquisition my niche has just been carved out for frontend but I really am good at backend but I lack experience to show for it
Also I feel like I under utilise the fact that I stay in the heart of Bangalore so I want to network more and meet these awesome entrepreneurs and 100x devs that people talk about
Too many pathways ahead but I just feel stuck
