ITR Help needed- LTCG being taxed?

I am a salaried person and ofc income is less than 50 lac and also I have invested in stocks,ipo and mutual funds. And some of I sell in less than 1 years and holding maximum of them. So can anyone plz tell which ITR I need to file and can help me with clearing more doubt in future. As I have joined last year as a fresher so this is my first time.

I am of the understanding that capital gains under 1L are tax free and those gains aren’t to be added to your taxable income. However, I met a friend this evening who informed me that her CA says that capital gains are always added to the taxable income and are not really tax free regardless of them being under 1L. If this is true, my friend is not getting the 6K rebate she was hoping to get since her taxable income now crosses the 5L barrier. Had the capital gains not been added to her taxable income, she would well under this 5L barrier. Can anybody please confirm if this is indeed true? Some additional context: The capital gains are from her ELSS investments which were sold in the last FY and amounted to about 50k over the sale of about 1.7L If this is indeed true, I have a follow up question from an inversion POV - if capital gains indeed exceed 1L, will one then be taxed twice? i.e. The 10% LTCG tax as well as the slab based tax on taxable income (salary - dedications + capital gains)

Should I file ITR using ITR-2 form even if I have a few hundred rupees stock dividends and my income is less than 50 lakhs?

Hi, experts I was filing itr, so needed help, I started my job from May 2022, but before that I did an internship where I got salary credited to my account , it was around 1500 for one month (March) for this assessment year and also they did deduct a tds of around 300 rupees which I can see on my itr home page . So should I include those amount in my gross income while filing tds ( I have only included my current gross salary) ?

Can someone here explain the LTCG and STCG taxation on equity investments (or maybe applicable to other asset classes also) ? From what I understand, LTCG is taxed at 10% on profits exceeding 1 lakh. However, when making a partial withdrawal, what exactly constitutes profit? let's say I have invested 10 lac in a mutual fund today and after 3 years grew to 13 lakhs with profit of 3 lakhs, now if I withdraw 2 lakhs after that 3 years, will be it be considered as profit withdrawal or the withdrawal of the principal that I invested? and what will be the taxes on that?

Hi community, really love the support I get from folks here. Thanks a lot. Here is another thing I need some opinions on. I did an internship last year and there was some TDS deducted. That was my only source of main income. I checked the Form26AS and yes it was present along with some TDS on my MF investment and all. Now this is my first time filing ITR, how should I go approach? Get a CA? If yes, how to contact one? How much do they usually charge? File by myself? Or any tips you have would be really appreciated. You can also share your experience. Thank you 😊.

It will turn out a year since I join Google as software engineer passing out of college. Now in this tax filing season I am very much scared to file my taxes since I don't know anything about ITR. I had taken up a 5 year tax saver FD in previous financial year. Due to some weird reason, my company had rejected it and this investment under 80C does not reflect in Form 16. Now while filing ITR, should I add this amount of FD under 80C?
