Summer in Bangalore seems to be bad and worse is predicted. Is it better to go for air cooler considering portability and cheaper or air conditioner considering effectiveness
No one from any big electronic showrooms are advocating for air coolers since they are lesser cost maybe ? But if I ask Bing Co Pilot it’s suggesting Air cooler is better considering the usage is not widespread since temperature in Bangalore drops after July

I had ac installed when I relocated to bangalore. except for 2-3 months I didn't use it and every year I have to do gas filling and service cost as I was not using it for 7-8 months..
For Bangalore you need good air circulation, so with better ventilation(invest on mosquito nets, glass doors etc) you should be good with air cooler.
Its your preference. Coming to practicality a table fan is much cheaper. We have a good quality table fan to beat unprecedented summer.
U live at ur own place or rented? If rented then cooler is fine
