Amazon PIP culture
My Manager told me that I am not performing well and indirectly threatend me that I would be put in PIP. I am really tensed and not able to function properly. I anyways don't like my manager and trying to find a new job since last 3 months but nothing is working out. Not sure how to deal with it and what to do...
Based on the experience of my friend, no one survives PIP in Amazon no matter what you do.
Not to scare you but best if you get another offer and move on.
Take a gap if needed to rest and hunt for offers.
Also do not work mad 24*7 hoping for positive results from PIP.
Maybe ask your manager upfront what will happen in the best case scenario.
Do you have wfh Or work from the office mostly?
Its Hybrid. 3 days in office 2 days WFH.
Try to be more active in the office, participate more in the discussions and brainstorming sessions. Be active with cross team conversations, take some new initiative by yourself, show your dedication.
Also, try to understand what made your manager pass on this feedback to you, are there any improvement areas for you which you can work on.
If you feel completely saturated, then stay in the current job and try to work harder to find a new job.
Don't be tensed with all these things, manager feedback is very common in the corporate world, what's important is we should work on those selective feedback for our personal development.

The one option to remain in the job and change his mind until you find a new job is to ask your manager where you need to improve to perform well? PIP means they cannot put PIP and ask you to move. PIP means-Performance Improvement Plan, and it has some policy to give you a warning message to improve yourself within some time line, if that doesn't work then they are forced to remove you. Another thing is when the PIP comes into picture then everything becomes toxic and you will not feel to work confidently if you are really a serious worker. Pls check what options apply for you here and then decide. Best luck.
