The hike generally applies on your base salary. All variable components are derived from base pay so the hike is translated there too.
But one pain point is some companies offer so much variable pay only to deduct it during payout citing company performance and stuff. So be aware of their strategies.
In my company it is fixed salary + bonus. Total CTC is not included in the same.
