Nope, Glassdoor does not allow removing reviews afaik (they are absolute on this)

But companies compensate by posting fake reviews that are very positive (Eg- Cons: none that I can think of)

They allow it. We used to do it in my last company.

@Samesorner - Tell us more! How do they do it? Do they pay Glassdoor?

Reading these comments makes me feel like a decentralised review platform is needed

I think Decentralised is not the solution. Companies already have enough resources to show their best picture they would exploit decentralised networks as well. Companies will buy people who are ready to sell themselves.
Maybe a trustable autonomous body in between. Like competition commission of India?

Hmm that sounds good but very expensive. A good idea tho

If they don't do it, will anyone here take a paid membership to have the platform bias free?

Companies pay to get their ratings up so don't trust Glassdoor or any other public sites.

I read on reddit, GD is moving towards a b2b model where they provide brand management services to companies. So it's possible if you pay them they will remove negative reviews.

Yes, you can remove a Glassdoor review if you have a LinkedIn premium account

They cannot be removed, but companies do add fake reviews through the HR team/other employees/paid reviews. I’ve seen my company do this. It’s always safe to go only with the negative reviews of any company and connect with the employees of that company on LinkedIn to understand the work culture and other details before accepting an offer.

A friend of mine posted about bad hiring process of a startup, HR persuaded her to take it down. When he didn’t, his post was removed from Glassdoor. It’s true

If someone is joining a company base on reviews.. I pity you. Those people deserve to work in shitty edtech and other broker companies who claim that they are changing the world.
