These CEOs need a massive humbling

All CEOs are echoing the working 14hrs a day thought of Narayan Murthy, claiming how the employees who don't devote their lives to their employers are parasites. If employees were to work 14 hours, why would they not start their own companies? But starting a new company now is extremely tougher than starting and raising tons of funds during zero interest rates. These lucky CEOs raised billions when there was free money and actually wouldn't be able to replicate their success or scale if they were building their companies now. We just want to eat good food and live comfortable lives, man! 8 hours a day is not benign, it is still a lot of time devoted for a fraction of the company's total earnings that mostly go to the executives. ZIRP CEOs should seriously keep their mouths shut!

Officially- zero interest rate policy ie. when central banks try to keep interest rate at 0% to keep cost of capital low. Actually - zero interest rate phenomena because it is impossible to have it as a policy that can be maintained over years.

They already made their big bucks in ZIRP. Many of their startups will now shut down in these market conditions - owing to how poorly their businesses have been built. Still, the harsh truth is that us common folks will have to keep listening to their BS propaganda and keep suffering because of their supposed high intellect and capability.

That's the exact reason I think people should work long hours in their initial(1-2-3) years so that they can start their own companies. Even if they don't start their own thing, they will be massively ahead of everyone else.

Who is funding those companies right now? VCs are done for the next couple of years and will then pick up slowly. The ones offering funding are giving extremely unfavourable terms. We do not have capital to bootstrap the startup and take the plunge. These names built their companies over years at the back of VC money. And it's not even VCs own money, it's their investors' money. Who are the investors? Among others, Institutions such as national pension fund, teachers contribution fund, national welfare fund, etc - basically this is people's money that these people had a free ride on.

I don't agree with what youre saying. The likes of Infosys and some of the other companies are not the result of ZIRP only. They're multiyear and into the decades legacies. His thought process is to not make Indians complacent right now when we are on an upward trajectory. He's just trying to say don't get americanised.
