Ignore ONDC at your own risk. VCs would die to have a part in this exponential growth
Disagree. That's like saying I grew by 1000% from going from 1 to 11 customers

That's the baseline effect. And we need to compare it with Z n S. Not just the top level metrics but category wise and L1 L2 as well.

Do you have any categorywise data? Would be interesting to see that as well
Cool if it grows enough to make Swiggy & Zomato do better in terms of price or something else

Maybe I’m ignorant but how does ONDC grow beyond food delivery?
A Grocery stores, hardware stores, fashion retailers don’t have the culture/mindset of delivering online. The delivery charges also make it unattractive for the customer use ONDC for these categories as opposed to quick commerce traditional e-commerce.
Verification/quality is also another major issue which will lead to customers only going for “known” trustable retail outlets/sellers.
This growth is largely from auto rides (Namma Yatra and other apps being launched). Not so much from grocery or restaurants
I'd disagree here. Here's why:
1. ONDC matching the tech stack plus customer support that Swiggy or Zomato have already built over the last 5+ years is hard, to say the least. I've anecdotally heard that the customer support system is bad on ONDC.
2. Yes, no doubt ONDC is growing, but it looks more of a hockey stick kind curve for now (that is, wildly high intent post discovery). This is bound to settle down after some period of time. How much time? Well, until you have discounts on ONDC. Ultimately, ONDC will also start charging variables like platform fees and higher delivery fees to keep business sustainable. In the absence of a superb discovery system or a great customer service team, the model will mostly come crashing.
3. The best example that I can recall is probably Foodpanda. They used to sell items from nearby restaurants at unbelievably low prices (<10 for a sundae for example), but post a particular point in time, they had to stop, because sustainability matters.
4. Not very sure of how Namma Yatri too will fare for exactly the same reasons above. Until maybe the govt decides to make ONDC like a full fledged PSU kinda organisation, it seems difficult that ONDC will sustain long enough in the market of the respective sectors
