Winter is real

Place is a shithole. I made a mistake of going there for studies after getting an admit at schools in the US. Man that place sucks. Everyone is soft as hell and there are no good jobs. Grad schools are a joke and the cities are more like a town with one main road. Canada is literally the gully cricket league of life while US is World Cup. I have very little respect for people who end up in Canada, grow a pair of balls and move out to the US or India. Just imagine I am so furious even today that I am typing this at 4am.

Recently seeing alot many posts on LinkedIn about companies and startups are hiring interns in large numbers for core functions like tech, product, biz etc. Am I the only one who is thinking that companies simply want to get the work done using these interns and avoiding hiring full time employees? Signs of not to good days. Also winter internships were not these common or were they? 🫤

Have been hunting for a job for a while. Non tech background and completed mba in 2022. Open to working in sales, marketing and no industry preference as such! I keep hearing news that some companies are hiring in bulk and some have hiring freeze. So is this the time to upskill into one of the trendy things or keep looking for a job ? Advise, experiences and informs about companies hiring is most welcome!

Time to close all tech parks and ask people to wfh or wherever! Haven’t seen such a bad state since 2015. I read schools are shut. When are they shutting IT parks and ask people to wfh? Hope it happens asap.
