⛈️Bellandur Flooding Probability
Namaskara. Folks in Bellandur and those who travel nearby frequently, has the Municipality done any work to prevent flooding in Bellandur this year, given last year the whole area flooded really bad. What's the probability the area will flood again like last year?
My office is in Bellandur and I'm thinking of finding an accommodation nearby to cut down travel expenses. Will it be a wise decision, given rents have shot up Bellandur area.
The whole East Bangalore is prone to flooding due to step geography and encroachment of rajakaluves designed to handle the step geography.
If you are concerned about ecospace being in the valley, mostly govt would have taken care plus metro civil work is almost complete there so the water can flow to the other side and into the lake.
Can' tell the same about the interior though
Yes my office is near eco space only
If you want to be in the 1% when the shtf, I recommend studying the slope near your accomodation and how the water drains and whether the drain abruptly becomes small or vanish to an apartment up until the bellandur lake. I would think all of these can be done online.
If you are thinking of buying one, it is whole different maze
I got massively screwed last year during the floods, I flew from Delhi to Bangalore and got stuck behind the Bellandur lake. I had to meet my friends. I literally got saved when someone I knew lived close to Domlur. But I would’ve been massively screwed if I had to go all the way from Koramangala to Bellandur.
I literally checked a hotel 🏨 and it was upwards of 15k+ for one night.
Nope, blender * will survive the flooding scene. Try to get something around Adarsh Plam and Marthahalli's flank, I could suggest Varthur, but the rub and narrow roads over Varthur which connect Balagare and Sarjapur will drive you nuts.
(bellandur; you should have seen when they unclogged the sewer, just like the blender)
Came for mixer, settled for blender
