What are the best purchases you have made under 1k?
Got a voucher for Amazon 1k, I can obviously add money over it but want to see best value of it
Dishwasher.
Crazy investment, we thought was luxury purchase, but has saved so many hours and so many litres of water.
Though it is like a baby, and feeds on special food only
But worth it π
iPad. For using as an e-book reader (Kindle). . Got base 10'2" / 64GB (2021) model from Flipkart during Diwali 2023 sale for 24k. Put a matte screen guard and turned on screen filters for greyscale + warm light (night shift). Have already read 8-9 books till date (including some re-reads)
I'm also planning to purchase the iPad for reading and note-taking, what would you recommend to me should I go with the 9th generation or 10th generation iPad?
In general for anything other than reading books, I won't recommend getting 9th Gen iPad (I own one). . Go for either 10th Gen (maybe wait few months for 11th Gen?) or Air. For note taking particularly your should only look at iPads that support latest (2nd) gen Apple Pencil
iPad Pro 12.9" with Apple Pencil.
I use it to attend all my office audio / video calls on MS Teams, check emails on Outlook, read books using Apple Books & Kindle apps, as a mini-TV to watch Netflix in bed, its decent speakers to listen to music through Apple Music, for scrolling LinkedIn & other social media, watch courses on YouTube, to draw & paint using Apple Pencil on Procreate app, for learning piano using apps like SimplyPiano, for displaying sheet music while playing the piano, to experiment with composing music using GarageBand app etc.
Love its large screen, its like an ultra portable laptop, and the best part, I can easily carry it everywhere with me, including to the bathroom. π
I feel it has been worth many times over the price I paid for it - easily one of my favorite purchases ever in life. β€οΈ
