F&F not getting settled, what to do?

Hello good folks of grapevine! So, I resigned from my last job last year in November. As per the company policy I was promised that my F&F will be settled 45 days after my last working day which happens to be the first week of Jan'24. For some reason the signed documents got delayed from my end by 10 days. It's been more than one and a half months now and my F&F is still not credited. I keep calling the HR and that bitch literally gives me the same shit over and over again that "the signature from the CFO is pending". I'm really confused about what to do. Is posting on LinkedIn a good idea or will it affect my career? The amount is significant, hence I don't want to risk it. In case there is a legal procedure to this, what are the next steps? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My company is threatening me

Sorry for the long post :( I'm a 2021 graduate from a tier 3 college. I was working at a small startup based in Bengaluru that is into SAAS. The headcount is less than 20 and a completely remote job. I don't have any notice period. I was told that I can leave the company whenever I want without any prior notice. And it's not mentioned anywhere in the contract. I had a promotion due in September 2022 in which the new agreement was supposed to be implemented where I had to serve a 90 day notice period and salary hike of 15% of my current CTC. But the promotion was put on hold till now. I asked them multiple times but I was told that it's on hold indefinitely due to "shortage of funds". On December 31st I sent a resignation letter as it will be my last working day. Even though it was a very short notice, I completed all the documentation about the things I worked on. Anyone who can understand English can deploy the entire product. And moreover everyone had worked on the product and almost everyone had a good understanding of the product. Sometime in 2021, I received a bonus of 62k which was sent to my personal bank account (the company itself didn't have a corporate account back then). Since the company didn't provide me any work laptop, I was told casually that I can use the bonus to purchase a new laptop or keep it to myself. I made a mistake of now waiting to get the December month salary before resigning. Now he's telling me that the bonus he sent is for the company laptop and it will be adjusted as my December month salary. When I asked about the purpose of the bonus was not to get the company laptop but to keep it myself, he's refusing to accept it. (Almost everyone in the company uses their personal laptop). And coincidentally there was a service outage as the company uses free services wherever available (for example, oracle cloud free tier, free version of slack, GitHub and lot more). Continued in comments....

IBs taking forever to answer

Hi all, I have been giving interviews for several IBs in last few months and i have had a very laggy, slow experience. Namely, i have been interviewed by JPMC for about 3 profiles, Barclays for about 3 profiles, BNP Paribas and DB for about 2 profiles. I would not disclose or discuss anything about offers. What i want to highlight is all these organizations are just taking weeks to finalize and give answer. If they like you, they would have rounds of interview in 2-3 days after each interview, but then, its radio silence. Then they either internally reject you and don't give any update or keep on window shopping with other candidates and try to find cheaper options. Then they come back if they don't find anything. But something that they should change is transperancy. Say exactly what is the status of a candidate. Why you want to keep on buying time. On the contrary, i was also interviewed by EY. And they were simply the fastest and the most to the point guys. Interviews done in 2-3 days, after final interview with director, i got a call the same evening discussing salary, etc... No HR HR game and time wasting. Also, none of the IBs ever update the status on online portal and when you reach out to HR for an update, all they say is its in process, waiting for business to reply and please check status online. At times, even after months, the status stays the same. And the worst part is, after playing their time wasting game, say if your scored an offer letter from somewhere else, they will say that this wasn't disclosed or said during the discussion. They should understand that if they are wasting a month of an employee on the pretext of "waiting from business for reply", it can happen. If any other folks have faced same issue, please share. I personally have made a decision that if and when i do hiring or am part of hiring process, will try to be as transparent as possible and give answer atleast in a week's time to any candidate.

What kind of a hiring process is this? Need advice [Repost with better formatting]

I recently interviewed at a large company. I applied by sending my resume to someone in my network who works there and they forwarded the resume to HR. After that I got a call from HR and they asked for my expected salary among other things to which I answered that I want a 40% hike. I cleared all technical interviews and after that I got a mail saying that they would like to offer me a full time role and asked some of my documents to prepare an offer. I was curious about them asking for documents without having an HR round first so I called the HR and asked some details about the job and she ensured that they can give me a 40% hike on base but not on TC so I assumed they will hike my base and keep the other components in a similar range to what I currently have. I send the documents and on the next day I get a call from HR asking about my expected compensation again, I then ask about their salary structure and they explain that it's all fixed. I was confused on what number to give them so I said that I wanted a 40% hike but since my TC consists of variable components and theirs don't, I would like to know what is the maximum salary they could give me to which the HR replied that they will let me know in a while. It's been more than 24 hours and I haven't heard back. I don't want to call the HR because that might make me look desperate and give them a reason to lowball me but I'm not sure what to do and am even more confused about the kind of process being followed at this company.
