Can 33yr old, no experience JAVA developer, self taught get a job in IT today?

I had a business which pretty much folded and failed. Have no talent outside that spectrum. Wanna become a developer, since I have interest in IT and what I can do with IT talent. Besides IT field gives a decent pay of 10-15lkhs

Can I strive to push myself to learn to become a Java developer or should I choose something else??
