Essentially initially your role would only involve calling. Maybe scheduling at max. Being a paid intern is better than an unpaid intern. I have seen folks working as unpaid interns in big 4s and later not being converted at all.

The rule here is simple. Never ever do an unpaid internship.
If the startup is pre-series B and is performing well I will recommend going for it as you will learn more otherwise you can go for the big company. Also, factor in the duration if it is something like 2 months and the startup is okay go for the big company, brand names always help in getting shortlists but what you have done matters more in interviews.
