Career in IT after the age of 50 Years
General question to all the folks who are in IT industry for more than 10 years. What do you think your career path in IT will be after the age of 50 years considering AI and Automation. Also as we move up the ladder the number of roles decreases significantly. For more experienced people switching different companies also becomes quite difficult. What is your backup plan for this?

Make your money and get a teaching or consulting gig ... If u don't make it then accept that your bosses will be younger than you as you grow older. Or look for roles in delivery or any customer facing role where your experience might come in handy
Career after 10-15 yrs from now will be seriously competitive i think as everyone is flocking towards it. AI , automation like tech on the other hand is the force which enables us giving chance to revive as this constant changing nature keeps us in the race :). Once you become senior its hard to switch, that time ur networking helps
