Laptop for linux
Hi folks, can you guys please suggest which laptop will be good for/comes with Linux OS. I want to use Ubuntu as OS. I have tried lenovo earlier but it's not worth, had very bad experience with Lenovo laptops. So now which laptop I can purchase in budget ? If you guys have any idea please suggest. Thanks
I *may* be wrong on this one, but I think Dell laptops usually have good Linux support. In fact a few lower end Dell models also used to come with Ubuntu preinstalled a couple of years ago.
As long as you avoid brand new, recently released models, I think any manufacturer would be fine, because you'll probably have good driver support given a few months/years time. Apart from that, make sure to see the reviews and check if there are any mentions of issues with running Linux on that particular model.
If you are new to Linux then Ubuntu is a good place to start
Be there until you are comfortable learn to use terminal more understand how everything works
Try some window mangers like i3 and dwm.
Then try Debian do the same
Then try arch Linux do the same
Then try gentoo do the same
Then top of Linux pyramid โLFSโ Linux from scratch.

I would recommend framework laptop which is not available in India and not cheap, but worth the wait in my opinion
