What do you use for coding?

Just trying to understand what is the dev environment for people on Grapevine.

I can add a little addition to this. the highest IQ dude is using VSCode + Vim extensions. The biggest problem I've seen with people jumping to vim/neovim is they do so without getting familiar with vim keybindings yet. just get the vim extension in vscode and practice the keybindings there before trying to use vim/nvim as your daily driver.

also the BIGGEST positive from vim is the keybindings! they are truly magical. If you take the time to commit them to muscle memory (which will take a month max) then you will forever be disappointed because you can't use those keybindings everywhere. Whenever I have to type a code block in Slack and I can't use vim keybindings there, I start to lose my mind for a sec before I calm down and type the code in vscode + vimext and then copy paste

My situation resembles the image in op post. After using vs code for 4 years, I tried switching to Neovim. I want to have good battery life and don’t want my windows to bloat with vs code(btw I am registry sensitive).
Now I am back to vs code
