What were the reasons you chose one company over another but later on regretted it ?

Never regret not joining, a company doesn't give a shit about the workers. Regret not getting a chance to work with wonderful people though.
Starting out, or early in the career, look out for growth opportunities, immediate manager and co-workers - it's important that you "vibe". Look for a cross cultural diverse team with a varying set of expertise.

What to look for in a company before joining?
Is it the pay? WLB? BENEFITS? Company profits? ESOPs? Tech stack?
