Moengage is hosting a “flagship” event in their “home turf” and are asking employees not to come so they can save money on the number of plates served during lunch and the amount of beer bottles served. What’s the cheapest cost cutting measure your company has taken so far? The irony is that Moengage called an investor to whitewash their financial condition in a recent town hall.

I am currently working as a senior engineer at a startup (yoe 6+). Initially things were good , but from the last few months The workplace turned toxic and all the nasty things started happening around me. The burn out was deteriorating mental and physical health, so i lost my patience and resigned. Making this ama , so that I can help someone who is going through the same situation.

How is the culture and hikes/appraisals

Leadership is clueless and one of the most toxic workplaces where people are bullied and no boundaries are considered .Just a week before the appraisal cycle, the let go of 100+ folks both billed onsite and offsite without even informing anyone in the team which impacted the work and morale of existing people. When asked about this to the management, all they cared about was the reviews on the ambition box and Glassdoor being low. They asked employees to give good reviews and when it was not working they used the marketing team to give good reviews, you can check the reviews yourself to verify this. The next big thing is , keeping org wide evaluations from manager level also and calling it some development program and mandating the employees to take it along with delivery work. So we can expect more rounds to happen going forward. What is more sad is the blackmailing and forcing employees to take down reviews and employees who are planning to goo

I know sometimes we refrain from saying too much about our company. But exes can usually be talked about, since there's not much holding back. Maybe it helps someone else avoid a mistake you did, or gain a new learning :p Shoot.
