Why even call it Hindi commentary?

I’ve been feeling that Hindi commentary has gone to gutter since last few years. The commentators just talk about everything except the ongoing match. I think they don’t have skills to analyse match ball by ball. Back in the day I had listened to entire India vs Australia test series on a radio where I was able to visualise the shot played, ball bowled, fielding positions, even running between the wicket but now it’s just some chappri level podcast. I mean what the f*** man. More so have seen this happening with Hindi commentators only. The English commentary is still decent and great if done by likes of Bhogle or Shastri or Morgan, Utthapa, Hesson, Smith etc. Ex-cricketers like Shewag, Chopra, Raina doing this shit 💩 and telling about their days is plain annoying. Do we Indians especially Hindi speaking population like this cringefest? Is this a potential market which is being addressed by the channels? Much larger question - Am I the only one who feels like this.

Desi folks working with people in the US suck at English! Why?

From my experience, I see 7 out of 10 desi people working with people in the US suck at English, some despite living there for 5, 6, 7 years or even more. And the reason I call them mediocre is they don’t even realize how bad they are at English. They take their non-native English speaking background as an entitlement to suck at English. What irks me more is desi people communicate with their clients & counterparts in the US but still don’t realize the need for polishing their English language skills. “English is not my native language but I will work with native English speakers, and suck at English.” How is this fair? What’s your experience like?

Is Nikhil Kamath the most irritating podcast host?

So I've been fed his podcasts a lot lately by the YouTube algo. And while it's amazing one of India's best startup entrepreneurs is getting really good guests to come on his show, I just can't stand him. He interjects before the guests have a chance to finish their thought and at times it feels like the podcast is a platform to air his views rather than the guests. Especially his insistence on traumatic childhoods as a prerequisite for greatness and why capitalism is best. PS: Please don't come at me like his fans in the comments, legit want to know if this is just me or something others feel too.

Cricket World Cup not hyped enough this year?

I genuinely don’t feel like we are hosting a cricket World Cup in our country this year. In 2011, the hype and craze around us hosting was way higher. Stadiums were better filled them for other games apart from Indian games, while I saw at least 5-10% empty seats even for the India v Aus game even though everything was apparently sold out in minutes on BMS? Is it a PR/marketing problem or is the hype from the sport just not great anymore?
