Should I resign?

I work in a company where I am daily abused they call me dumb and my manager says I lack intellect and it’s shocking I am engineering graduate where i should have taken arts. My team leads are no good they also leave no chance to abuse me or make fun of me. They sit right next to me and are busy making fun of me. On top of that this company tracks our mouse and keyboard activity with screenshot of our monitor every 10 seconds to evaluate activity even when in office and there is no remote work policy. Almost daily I am abused and my mental health is gone for a toss. I am in depression and also feel that maybe truck hit me before i go to office because daily I am ridiculed there. Remarks like : I will slap you if any change comes in PR. You are so dumb. Cannot code dumbo. and see recession what will happen if we fire you is common in company. I fear market situation. So i am confused what to do?

I come from a good college (tier 2) with very good placements but because of mental health reasons ( I was severely struggling) i had to skip placements. After being unemployed for 4 months after graduation my family forced me into taking a job I never wanted. Very low pay, extremely toxic work culture and insane work hours. I don't even have energy or time left to prepare for interviews or even apply to other jobs. This job is slowly pushing me back into depression. And it even hurts to see that all my friends are earning 17+LPA base + stocks and other benefits, while I can't even get a 15CTC job. I feel my career is over and see no hopes for my future. Should I quit so I can atleast prepare for a better job? Any advice is appreciated.

Hey grapeviners, a data analyst this side (2 yoe). I aim to pivot into software engineering roles in the near future and that's what I do in my free time - prepare. I recently realized how much time I'll have on my hands if I start devoting my entire day to my studies and preparation - which includes building a project and studying advanced DSA. I can do this by resigning at my current job and then try to go all in on my "mission: domain change", and I definitely am okay to sit at home and put 3 months on this but nobody I discuss this with, advises me to quit my job for upskilling (or cross-skilling in this case). Most advice I get is to do this WITH my current job even if it takes longer to do so. I don't understand this - what will go so wrong if I resign and invest in myself? I am well aware of the market situation rn for engineers and even understand that before you make these decisions, it is important to have a financial as well as mental runway. I am sorted on the financial runway part and for the mental runway - I think I'll enjoy the time off and having the liberty to architect my own day makes me drool already. I want to have the whole day to myself to learn backend, solve DSA questions, hit the gym, make meaningful and large chunks of progress daily. That's what I aspire to do post my notice period and I confidently believe in my abilities to do so, but I've been bogged down by all the advice I've got till now. Am I stupid enough to believe in myself and think 3-4* months without a job is a boon for me in the long run than a bane? Am I stupid enough to believe that 3-4* months of working on myself will change me? Am I blind eyed by something or am I being plain delusional? I use 3-4 months coz that's what I think realistically will be enough for me to upskill, be interview ready and get a new job. And this time frame I've considered after a 2 month NP. Hey everyone, I've been working with this MNC for over three years now, primarily working on one project since the beginning. Lately, I've been feeling like my growth has plateaued, and the work has become quite monotonous. My manager has mentioned that exciting new development tasks would be coming my way soon, but unfortunately, these opportunities haven’t materialized for over a year now. I'm at a crossroads and unsure of the best course of action. Should I consider resigning to actively pursue new opportunities, because preparing for interviews while working and managing a 90-day notice period might be challenging? Or should I continue on with the current project while simultaneously exploring new job options? I'd really appreciate your insights and any advice on how to navigate this situation. Thank you!

I have been trying hard to switch but not getting any calls for an interview. I am suspecting now that maybe this 3 month notice period is slowing down the process. So my ask is should I resign and then try to find job, so that other company see potential in my profile because I can join early?

Hi Folks! I am working in TCS nd have a experience of 3 years in production support. I want to get into devops by Mangaet is also not releasing me from the project. Shall I resign from TCS and un that 3 months of NOtice period prepare for DevOps. Will it be a good decidion or not? Please help me.

So I’m trying to switch. Apparently my resume is not getting any responses. Possible reason : I’m not skilled enough. Since past two weeks I have started up skilling myself by doing DSA and reading different articles. (Obv this is along with a full time job) The dilemma is I cant decide if I should resign and properly prepare for the interviews or should I continue as I’m doing right now. Because there lots to learn and the time I’m dedicating is not enough. Ps: I’m a non IT guy with ~2 YOE trying to learn and adapt to IT world and new tech stacks. Any constructive suggestions would be really appreciated.

Currently I’m a software engineer in corporate. But now my company has full demotivated environment and I’m not able to work or deliver my tasks. I’m applying for other companies also . But don’t even get interviews scheduled. What should i do? Should i go for govt jobs also? Should i resign first then decide? Should i continue working ? Should i think about career switching? My brain itself is not braining , and filled with such thoughts.
