I'm a final year industrial design student and throughout the course, we've been trained to conduct user research in effective ways, come up with new products (physical or digital) and also advertise the product. I'd say, we've been trained more on how to be a successful entrepreneur than a designer.
However, now that there's a brief idea about what we have learnt, the biggest hurdle that is extremely common in our field, is a lack of skillset required for entrepreneurship in today's world. We have come up with ideas for multiple startups throughout the span of 3-4 years. We're a group of 3 designers, 2 of us who are industrial designers, we usually do all the brainstorming and define the direction of the entire startup. The other guy is a UI/UX designer, who helps us come out with the most effective interface and build a semi working prototype on softwares like Figma. 
But it always just stops there. We, being designers, we learn multiple softwares that cater specifically to design. But when it comes to this, none of us know how to code and actually bring it to life. That's the biggest challenge we're facing right now, because we know we need to find a developer, but we don't know how to and where to approach any of them. This has been going on for over a year. 
It would really be appreciated if anyone could suggest platforms that help us connect to like minded developers and are willing to take part in building a startup from scratch rather than just interning or working for one.

I work in a startup. We're currently on an ongoing pivot. I started working here as a founding engineer. I have worked here for around 2 years now. Majorly i worked on frontend part with react native (which is totally a new thing for me when i joined). During my tenure here there was no senior engineer who could review my work and give me the skills i required to build my career. Our founder was happy if the app was working fine. During the initial phase we needed to launch the app as soon as possible so i quickly learned the basic things i needed to make an app with react native. In this time all of these things (js and web world) are very new to me as i was coming from developing native android apps with java. Now im trying to switch so that i can work with a team of experienced engineers. While attempting interviews for frontend engineer, I found that whatever I've done in my current job was nothing more than a college project and I really didn't got to learn any industry level stuff. I'm feeling like im still a fresher out of college. 

I tried working on my frontend skills but as we all know it's a very huge field. Html, css, js, frontend frameworks, hell lot of libraries.

I'm feeling so overwhelmed.

Whenever i attend a new interview i get to know new concepts which i never knew exist.


Any suggestions for me guys?

Startup struggle : exponential downward learning curve

A bit of intro:

I started my career in ops in manufacturing, with time I have moved to tech (across various roles ops, marketing, product, project, analytics and eventually sales).
I have sold SaaS, SaaS+Service, and was part of the team that closed reinsurance deals.

What I am making:
I have created a bit of python programs for data analysis, Twitter bots, web scrapping, etc (it's on my website - https://talesofss.com/ ), but don't know how to make web apps. 

I am here to learn:
What do I have to learn to be able to create small online projects

1. Like if I want to create an online platform where people can share their excel sheets and the program does the analysis for them, and output is a few Excel files - know a few US orgs that could pay for this

2. Webp converter online (I created a Mac app, but don't know how to bring it online) - this is to make my life easier 

3. Publish a database but only the first 100 is visible, post which users have to share their email IDs to view the rest - this can be used for user acquisition/monetization

I tried Java, css, html with ChatGPT but still don't know how to publish the results online

Currently doing a course on AWS EC2 but it's too confusing

Looking for someone to either help me build these or point me in the right direction :)

1. Should I invest my time to upskill my knowledge by studying website design 

2. Confused between which platform I  have to choose, Should I study framer, Shopify and webflow, which is relevant in the industry

Website design really needed skill for PM roles or just a waste of my time

I'm not from tech background but I'd like to create and responsive website to help my dad's business. (Resturant, stay) by which customers can book rooms, availability of rooms and other services.

Is there any platform which allows me to create a responsive webpage?  Which should be compatible with mobiles/other devices also?

I've tried wix, squarespace but it's prompt me to pay, is it leggit? 
 
I know I can outsource it but I'd just like explore.

What general advice would you offer a CS Student who just completed their 2nd year and is on a 2 month holiday right now? 
Which way to go, how to explore different CS fields,  basically how should one get serious from their 3rd year onwards for better than good placements?

Is it just me or design culture in India is just becoming worse?

Saw a lead designer come in for work. Sit down for 5 minutes and make crass jokes and then leave. What even man. I am super disappointed. All the best people I have worked with have either left or are about to leave. All the women in office become uncomfortable with these jokes and it is visible on their faces. 

They then take credit for our work and speak really well to the senior management about "HE" has done. 

I transitioned to design to learn and grow in my career but this is the least ambitious field I have seen in my career.

What do you think?

Software Developer

Okay so I landed an internship at a startup as a front-end developer in Feb and recently got converted to full time in Aug. But the thing is im the only guy they have for development (yes literally not a single person knows dev other than me) and well a little about me, I got imposter syndrome. I have been working on frontend for quite some time now but because I'm the only one here I need to build everything so I never really got time to actually learn stuff, I just use gpt for everything and get the work done. 

Now my task is to make the full fledged website of the company ( I have the figma and have been asked to build it). It kinda feels like I'm working on a self project but with deadline set by someone else? The thing is I have asked them numerous times to hire someone senior but they say I'm good enough as I somehow was able to build a decentish product in my 3-4 month internship( not me ig I learnt the very basics and used gpt). I feel like a fraud all I do is do chatgpt as i know I won't be able to build something by myself 😔, can anyone help in what can I do in his situation? Like if I try to actually learn while making stuff it'll take too much time I feel, how can I learn and grow in a situation like this?

What should I do

I am looking for a plug-and-play solution to build an MVP of an app. I need the MVP ready within 2 weeks, even if it lacks extensive backend functionality and uses pre-fed dummy data.

A bit about the app: it takes input from users, saves it, learns from it, and suggests solutions based on the input. The MVP doesn't need to have a paywall or a fully-fledged backend.

Please keep in mind that I do not extensively code, but occasionally work with python and R. 

Really appreciate the help.
