Notice period Issue

I'm getting an offer from a company and they are saying to come early . The notice period in my existing company is 60 days . Do companies relax their notice period from 60 to 30 days . How can we do that ? What happens if we don't serve the notice period?

Hi Guys, Recently I cracked Oracle, however, I want to explore more opportunities. I am applying to jobs but not getting any reverts from other employers. Reason being I think I am getting low balled on offer. After trying and applying to about 100 jobs and getting rejected few silly things coming to ky mind like below - I was thinking to post on my linkedin that I cracked Oracle interview so that people notice me (Not sure if its a good move as of now). Will it help if I mention this Oracle offer when reaching out to recruiters. Any tips how can I attract recruiters to my profile? P.S. - I have 80 days remaining of my notice as of today

I've completed the interview, and the HR is asking for documents for the job offer. The issue lies in my official NP of 90 days,whereas during the initial screening, I informed HR that my NP is 60 days and negotiable for one month! The new company wants me to join in 30 days. However, my current manager is not ready to negotiate and insists on the full 90-day notice. I don't know how to inform the HR about the actual NP, i am worried the offer might get revoked! Plz help me TIA

Hi Everyone, Saying from personal experience, I have noticed that 10/10 times I am getting rejected if I say notice period to be 90 days during a Job Switch. All companies are looking for 30/60 days joiners. Even though they themselves have 90 days notice period in their organisation. But let us say if you say to HR that my notice period is 60 days and then get selected, how to manage? How to securely transition from one organisation to another. How to negotiate the notice period effectively?

I have recently joined in an organization which is an Inc 2 days back. But today I got offer from good MNc company which has started interview process before receiving any offer . I want join in this MNc now how can I proceed in leaving current inc which joined 2 days back. In offer letter there is a clause mentioned that if I resign in 30days of joining I have to serve 4 months notice or I have to pay to buy notice period. I confused what to do now. Hie!!! I am currently working at a startup where I need to serve a 90 day notice period. I am applying to various companies but after the initial screening they are ghosting me(I guess mainly because of np). Should I quit and apply. I am worried, what if I am not able to get jobs after 90 days. I have more than 2 years of experience. I don't have any financial dependency. I have been searching for jobs since last few months and initially I used to mention my notice period as 90 days. Recruiters used to treat me like minorities in this country. Then I updated it to 60 days actual still being 90 days. However, I started fetching interview calls and eventually cracked one today. The company wants me to join ASAP with an option to buyout the notice period. However, my current company is stuck to age old 90 day notice period and I don't think there's a buyout option with them. I do have seen a case of 37 day release but need help in ways of tackling with this 90 day NP. P.S. Deployed on client side. Have amazing working relationship with the client manager. But don't want to utilise that as I am not sure if it will turn out good or bad. As I have seen things turning hostile once you put down papers. Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks.

I work in an MNC and the notice period is 90 days. due to this, my opportunities became narrower. Three recruiters directly told me they want candidates who can join in 30 days. Irony is those same companies posting linkedin urgent hiring.

Company has a 90 days notice and i getting very less calls due to this. Putting 30-60 days notice on job portals increased the opportunity but I am bad at lying and when i tell them officially its 90 days , they just run away. How to deal with this? Also my company dont believe in buyouts or early releases🙂
