Does hiding previous experience of 3-6 months create any trouble in the new company?
One of my close friends is not liking the work in the current company due to the terrible WLB. He is planning to switch to a new company but doesn't want to show this current company experience of 3+ months. Have you ever come across such a situation? What's the best thing to do? If he reveals to the new employer then it won't be good on his resume because the company previous to the current one laid off 50% of employees and unfortunately he got affected too in that layoffs. So, due to tough market conditions he has joined a startup and realised that he can't sustain here for long.
Please guide if it's alright not to put the last 3 months experience in the resume and apply for new jobs.
Just say got laid off, if layoff from previous one as well there he can say switched for career growth, just mention every experience very difficult to defend later
But the thing which is worrying my friend is, does it not reflect badly on the profile as both are under 1 year experience
It does not in the current market scenario, through PF they will anyway get to know
Don’t hide. Be honest in your CV. Right companies HR will reach out to you
Thank you
Role? Make experience as a consultant instead of full time :D
Will the new company not be able to verify the PF account in the background verification?
Managerial Role
Form 16 might carry the information. If his previous company is better to land a job, then might as well say laid off. Nowadays, layoffs are more about company runway and business plan failures than individual performance.
Else, mention and say that what was committed was not what was given. Unethical, but yeah.
Without context of names of companies hard to say more.
yes simply dont show the experience.!
