Hi all, I have a hr round tmrw. I have total of 1.4 year of experienced as mern developer. My current ctc is 5lpa and i have a gap of 6 months. What should i tell the expected ? And if there is any tips or guidance by you will8 be helpful. Thanks all !

currently I work in an ai consulting company (<40 folks) with 20+ lpa salary. recently I got an offer from a big mnc bank for around 15% hike on my total ctc. I informed my current org yesterday and they have countered me with a 20% hike now. I am confused on what to choose. ps: I have ~5 yoe.

I am living in Kochi and my current CTC is 5.4lakhs. I have only been in my current job for 7 months and I have experience of 4 years. Recently I saw a job notification for a new job in a company where one of my friends works. Position is for Sr.Full stack dev. Even though I am really good at React, redux and javascript, It has been 2 years since I worked with node.js as a background and MySQL as db. I am confident that I can get the job done in backend. My issue is how much should I ask them as my CTC. Can it go upto 10lakhs or should I be contempt with 8 lakhs, I'm really troubled here. Can anyone help.

I know current market is not approving this but based on the skills it should be acceptable. If the current ctc would have been good then why would someone switch. Please suggest some advices to mention how to not reveal the cctc till the offer is received. Lately for scheduling interviews also companies ask for cctc and ectc before taking even a single round how to tackle all these and also can we mention more than our cctc?

I am from a tier 1 college and our placements season is going on, this year the market is very bad, we have very less companies than the previous year and the pay is low as well. From Dec 1, our interview will start but till now I have got no interview shortlist. But I have got an off-campus offer for 13LPA in Greater Noida, I wanted to ask if 13LPA is good enough for living in Greater Noida. The recruiter asked me how much I expected I panicked and said 13LPA, actually I wish more than I said, I mean if they give 13LPA as base rather than CTC then it is more than enough for me. Should i take the offer or negotiate or do what? If negotiated, then how can the company agree to 13LPA base? TL;DR: should I accept a 13LPA offer or negotiate it, for a dev role in Greater Noida. I am fresher sitting for my campus placements. please help

I got to know that budget for the role i interviewed is in range of 20-25 LPA. My last drawn salary itself is lower than the market standards. The company wouldn't give hike more than 30% considering my experience in the role domain. But I have performed well in all my interview rounds. Any tips from the community to negotiate for atleast the lower band of their budget?

Recruiters always ask for your current compensation which is technically 'confidential' It's unfair for you to disclose your compensation without getting something in return. Let's CHANGE the tone of these conversations. I always ask for their budget before I disclose mine. Enough people do this and it'll become the norm and gives you a fighting chance to safeguard against lowballing. Objection handling: 1. "Our budget is flexible depending on the role and experience" - counter - what role are you considering me for? What's the range for that role? - if they still deny that's bullshit, all companies even startups have a ceiling they've at least thought of 2. "Our hikes are fixed at 20-30%" - run. Or if you care about the co. try talking about market standards and fair pay 3. If they're being unreasonable and not giving any info, you say your compensation is confidential / not comfortable sharing it at this stage Expected CTC - 1.2x Glassdoor/ambition box for business roles. If they try to haggle at this stage itself, say you'd like to focus on the job fit and the opportunity and talk about compensation later which you believe would be open to discussion for the right candidate.
