Things to focus on for mid senior level engineer

Hi fellas recently I have joined a company and i have been working with 18.5 lpa with 2.10 year of experience so wanted to know what I should pursue learning next to reach senior applications Engineer as currently im an applications Engineer Tech stack - java backend Qualifications - M.Tech software engineering I want to just reach 28 lpa by September next year with role of sde2 equivalent as i would be having 4 year of experiencel

I'm working in service based company in worst tech (acc to me ). There are not enough projects still they hire so many freshers . Current now I'm 1 year 3 months exp I'm doing self study of data engineer and done some decent project . Should I plan for internal switch or look for outside opportunities. Will I get atleast mid senior role outside?(im planning after 2 years exp) I don't wanna start again in entry level. What checklist should I follow to successful switch. I didn't get any hike for my first year( that's y I'm planning all this) I respect every advice and criticism in my plan Thanks in advance.

I'm currently working as a DevOps Engineer in a GCC with a CTC of 28 including Bonus. I joined this org 6 months back. My work here is mostly related to kubernetes and argocd. I'm plan to make a switch in 2025 and want to have clear goals for next year to prepare for switch. My current focus is to develop my skills in GoLang and increase my depth in k8s and Linux for next year. Will this skills be in demand even after a year or should I be flexible with my plan for the next year? Context: I've 3+ YOE, my previous experience was combination of AWS serverless + infrastructure definition + kubernetes + python backend coding. But my current workload is only k8s and argo. Also I want to touch 50 LPA in compensation or land a job outside India.

I'm thinking that I haven't utilised my full potential and left behind from folks around me . Right now I'm 27 and earning 22LPA as an SDE. I'm constantly worried how can I earn better or make some skills which can bring some money too as IT industry is not stable. So what could be best for me to do : My strong point is if I focus on one thing I can put more efforts into that work. The options that I could think: 1. Work on my tech skills and get into High paying IT job . 2. Pick one Govt exam and get any govt job . I'm thinking of SEBI grade A exam . 3. Pick up any skills like video editing start freelancing. 4.Prepare for MBA that might help me in longer run in corporate . Guys can you suggest which one area should I select and why . As if I focus on more than one I won't be able to fullfill any.

Hi, I'm a backend software engineer with 3 years of exp. My job is remote now, ctc: 35L. I want to look for jobs abroad. Preferences: DUBAI, SINGAPORE, NETHERLANDS(good European countries). I'm prepared for interviews and good at dsa. What should be my next steps?

I'm currently working as a Frontend Engineer at leading FinTech in India. I'm doing great in my current role(IMO). I also contribute to open source libraries on weekends. Maybe it is FOMO or my learning curve being relatively flat, recently I'm feeling I don't want to type cast myself as a frontend engineer and explore backend as well. I might get promoted to senior role this appraisal cycle. My current org (specifically my managers) don't want me to contribute in backend services as there are already plenty devs in backend. How to go about this? I can't switch since, no company would hire a folk as a senior backend developer with 0 backend experience.

Hi everyone what salary expectation i can keep as a devops engineer working currently as a devops engineer my current CTC is 4.5 LPA in Naggaro i also got refferal in Amdocs and they are asking salary expectations and this question lies for other companies as well what expectation should i have keeping in mind ill get promoted in March - April then ill get a minimum hile of 50%?
