Switching domain is OK after 3 years of experience

Have been working in this service based MNC for more than 3 years being given the domain of company’s choice ni change even after requesting for change through ijp. Preparing for switch and really want to work on SDE role as I have build stuff in college days and before getting selected in this mass hiring. Want to build stuff rather than just validate it but will it be okay to switch to dev role after 3.5 yoe what can be the challenges and consequences that I might have to face? What would you suggest moving from manual qa to sdet first or directly to sde roles? While being paid less than 6ctc what should be expected ctc?for switching to sdet or sde with no prior experience only self learnings through courses? Working in service based company for these many years which companies to target for both learning and earning growth?

Hi, I am working as test engineer. I will be completing my 2 years in this company by next month. I am planning to switch. Internally I am facing to get a developer role. In experience letter I may get designation as Test Engineer. is this a drawback when I wanted to work as developer in other companies.
