To the people of Microsoft

I reached out to one of my friends working in Microsoft asking him to refer me. He said that referrals don't even get interview calls unless it is done for a particular team directly to the manager. Any microsoft people here? How to get interview calls? What are we missing?

I am from Tier-I CSE grad, working in startups since college. Not sure why, but never have my resume got shortlisted in MSFT and Amazon. I am not sure what they try to find in my resume, or whether they even look at it or not. One thing I am sure is I can crack their interviews 4 out of 5 times. I have even cold-emailed managers and recruiters but they don't even reply. Any suggestions?

Hi All, This post is for my close friend. He is a Senior IOS Developer with over 7 Years of work-ex in SWIFT, CoCoa and Objective C. Current CTC - 23 His company has announced mass layoffs throughout the organization. He cannot sit idle as he has multiple financial responsibilities and people dependant on him. He has given 2 interviews now for Microsoft, Walmart, but not selected in 2/3 Rd rounds. Not getting calls now even after applying and connecting with HR and referrals in MNC's also. (Probably because of the current market conditions) Need advice on what we should do next as time is running out as well as patience. Also any leads would be appreciated. I arranged employee referrals from Microsoft , Visa , Arcesium , Walmart but no response came not even rejection its almost 1 month. Is there any other trend prevailing in market? Or more precisely Am I approaching in the wrong way?

I have applied multiple times at msft with/without referral but never heard back, is there a lottery system or something random about screening process?

Well, I have been laid off recently after 2.5 years of experience in a startup and looking around I found a really nice job opening at microsoft and wanted to know if someone can refer, thanks in advance.

I started my job search during May month and I haven’t got any single call yet for the interview. I have 3 yoe as Software Engineer. I don’t know what’s wrong with my profile. Someone please tell me if this is normal or not.
