Frustrated with work from office 2 days a week.

I was regularly going to office & was staying in Gurgaon for almost over 8 to 9 months when i joined the company. Later. I observe that 2 to 3 people who were out-stationed (near by places) were only coming to office for a week or so. I joined that and requested my manager to let me work from home and will come to office once a month. (He let me do that!) Eventually i got married and shifted to Bangalore. Meanwhile story is i have very fluctuating relationships with my manager, he does favouritism and it is quite common in my process. But the pain area started when i am travelling from Bangalore and he constantly asking me (isn’t it difficult for you to travel and all ?, please do let me know if you plan to leave {just give me heads up} I m feeling very confused here - i and manager are very clear that there is no future here for me -i m unable capture a job or offer in Bangalore (I started searching from Feb) So all in all, do i have to live in this misery until i find job in Bangalore ? Any suggestions apart from job search. Ps. I am outstanding in my work

Currently its 2 days wfo, soon its going to be 3 days. How tough is it to manage family if I get married now? My parents are seeing matches and most probably it would be some girl who’s working in Hyderabad as its my home. I am currently working in Bangalore.

I know this is not what majority of people like to listen, but for people coming from other cities with no friends and poor social skills, working remote or hybrid starts taking a toll on your mental health. The isolation it brings is so overwhelming. You feel trapped and frustrated, when there's no one to talk to. Sometimes, I feel the quality of life of our kind of lower than street vendors at least they have people they can talk to. I just hate the way we are wired to be social animals yet find it overly difficult to connect with people.

I travel for 2:30 hours from home to ofc and again 2:30 hours back home, so 5 hours travel and only visit ofc for attendance purpose so I sit in ofc only for two hours. Is it really worth visiting ofc ?

Hi Guys I’m currently working as SDE and want to switch the company but due work from office(9am-7pm), not able to prepare properly. Can anyone suggest some solutions.

Guys if someone has same experience want you to share such here. My office made work from office hybrid in a week but wants everyone to report office every week atleast twice. However they made a exception thar if you have some problem you can do wfh entirely. There were two cases There was a newly married women collegue who wants wfh entirely as she has the problem of shifting to new city alone. Then there is me who has been recovering from a leg fracture. Asking for a extension as commuting to office and doing self chores will be a problem alone in a new city. In both these cases the first person got the work from home extension . And me commuting office with 1.5 legs every day. How these justify a equality in work place???

I got a decent hike and better job/brand. My current role is wfh until they call, but new role is in Mumbai. Initially I was not sure had a convo with parents whether to take it or not. After discussing all this, finally when I said I'm gonna accept my mom broke and started crying. (Cause I'll leave for mum then) In dilemma what to do? Not sure if right forum to ask She had her bypass surgery last year
