I work at this startup and tomorrow is working for us despite it being a compulsory holiday… today the founder mentions there’s something important and thus we are working! Wtf

i think you're not fit for working at a startup. join a big org, maybe TCS?
Why are you being an asshole? Why should they not get time to vote?
It should at least be a half day, if you're going to vote. I understand if there's something dead serious. But it should not come in the way of voting!
There’s nothing important just a way to get the team to office tomorrow
Create a poll in your startup on 'Should we vote for better India?". Create some buzz on voting day and excite people about India future. Plan a trip to voting center and on your way back drop by some lounge. Call it team outing.
Do not forget to give entire credit to the founders. Write some brilliant posts on how your founder believes in India future and made everyone to vote. Show drafts to the founders, imagine how much PR you will get, etc etc.
In the end, you have to let your startup know what's in it for them? Else it's just you want a holiday and noone likes this in startups. Visionary dreams , bold ideas, out of the box thinking, vagaira vagaira hashtags...
