Feel like doing nothing

I worked at an early stage startup with really toxic culture and left my job because of that, now it's been one month I just wake up eat and sleep and feel like doing nothing, Although I know at some point I have to resume back but when ever I sit back to document my work prepare my portfolio I just feel no motivation to do so, Is something wrong with me?? Has anyone faced something like this before? How did you come out of it?

Congrats, aapko burnout hua hai.

And most likely your faith in yourself and the principle of ‘do hard work, you will make it’ has been shattered.

@Borosil_Carrier Sahi me. Our generation is a deadbeat cohort of robots (including me as well sadly). We must find something that goes beyond work.

Quit design. It’s a shit career path. You can only grow if you have a degree from IIT or NID.

I don’t think so… there are lot of designers who are much better from IIT/NID grads

I agree but recruiters and hiring managers only care about the degree. I’ve been a victim of the same.

Its perfectly normal buddy

Take a few days off. Here is a rough itenary:

Visit your parents Talk to them Roam around your hometown Eat anything and everything that soothes your tastebuds Now meet your friends Hangout with them till 3am Listen to sad songs at 3am on discord with them and share sombre poetry Visit your GF/BF Tell them how you feel Make them laugh, make memories Shake a leg with them, sip some wine Revisit your initial days
Go for star gazing Make love Visit your elders Seek their blessings Visit your relatives Make them jealous And then, Return to your job with a new vigor :)

Believe me all you need is a week off and youll be great

The same thing happened to me a few months ago, so I came back to my old company because I don't want to stay in this company. I have to maintain my discipline while working.

And then I have come back with a new energy and now I am learning things with full focus and now my confidence is back.

You should also do something like this because unless there is pressure, you will not be able to remain disciplined and move forward.

Same. Quit my toxic job a month ago and have been struggling mentally. To a point where I feel like I'm good for nothing.

Don't know what to say but keep going. Take a break. You got this!

After 2 months joined an early-stag...
