Finally achieved net worth of 0

In the sea of net worth of crores, i want to share that i finally paid off my loans today. I've been working for almost 5 years, and had to take multiple personal loans. I got some lumpsum amount recently and decided to pay off the loan. It feels so good to be debt free. I've been tracking my assets and liabilities, the sum was negative for years, it's good to be on the other side of the zero 😌

Congratulations!! What were these loans for? Didn't they create any assets?

Thank you! The loans were primarily for personal expenses and investments in my career and education. While the loans didn't directly create physical assets like property, they allowed me to acquire valuable skills, pursue opportunities, and improve my earning potential. In a way, the assets were more intangible, but they played a key role in getting me to where I am today. It's been a long journey, but now that the debts are cleared, I can focus on building assets that will help me in the future.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone! Paying off loans and achieving a debt-free status is a huge accomplishment and reflects your hard work and persistence. It's great to hear that you can now look at your financials with a positive balance after years of tracking and managing. That sense of freedom and progress is truly rewarding. Wishing you continued success on your financial journey!

I mean the obvious thing is to limit your spending, don't indulge when you start earning.
But I'll say something not so obvious. From time to time, treat yourself with something that you love. I tried saving every single penny but with time i started hating my job, there was nothing exciting about life, about the job. I used to love computers and i started hating it, never opening the laptop beyond work. Then I started a few hobbies, spent on a good gym membership, bought a keyboard (piano) 🎹. Life isn't so boring now.

Thread: What do you feel is your life’s purpose?

I know it’s a very common question, and impossible to know or answer. But curious how you folks here rationalize the meaning of life.

Add your age if that’s okay, for good measure

For me: I’m 27, my life’s purpose (or so I think) ...

Do you really need one? Existence is a gift, just enjoying it should be enough.

Reached 1.5L Networth
